Thank you so much for the update huiminghao, Ni-Fi is the greatest thing ever!

My question is, now that you released "dswifix(which is for nifi) src", could nifi be integrated in the SNES Emulator the DSTWO uses? As far as I understand, syncing up 2-player games on console systems is easier than emulating Link Cables (as needed for GBC/GBA Multiplayer).

So, NES, SNES, Master System, Genesis, NeoGeo should all be able to profit from Nifi as it is used in NesDS.

Hopefully something will come out of this, love the NES Multiplayer on my DS.

Thanks again, you're awesome.

I've been following this tread for weeks now on and off and only yesterday I decided to give it a try.
I must say, not only it runs smoothly on a regular SD card on my Sodokuhexed DSiXL, it can also write the settings and saves on the SD card and the scaling options are fantastic ! I played Batman first and it looks better then I've ever seen it even on the Wii, the scaling is so good that it looked perfectly normal.
I aslo mapped the scaling options on select + dpad and it works so well that I can adjust the screen in real time while playing.
Somebody suggested to pause the game while in the menu but that would be a shame IMO, there is so much that can be done and see the effects in real time that totally ouweights the simple press of a button to pause the game before entering the menu.
I tried dozens of my favorite games and they all ran fine so far. The only mildly disappointing visual artefacts come from vertical scolling games which unsurprisingly show because of the vertical scaling, while every other game ( horizontal ) move flowlessly .
I didn't try the nifi option yet but it sounds incredibly good as well, so great update, fantastic job, I'm loving it ;) .
Thank you !

I get missing graphics with SMB3 (like the top of Mario's hat while ducking or part of Mario's face), any way to fix that?

For Game Genie stuff, you can also patch the code into the rom itself. Use the Game Genie tool from http://pocketnes.org/downloads.html to do that. THIS WILL PERMANENTLY CHANGE THE ROM so only use it on a copy of the original rom file.

Use "gamegenie.exe" since I was never able to get "gamegenienew.exe" to work properly.

Just wondering, but does nesDS take advantage of DSi mode for faster software rendering (i.e. lower frameskip)?

Change the display settings.

Display settings? Which settings specifically?
I'll reply for him : I had those glitches while in SP-Perframe, but not in SP-Pertile, from what I tested. You can find this in Menu -> Game -> Display, on the bottom screen of course.

Thanks for the info.

I'd still like to figure out the code option though. I don't like having codes on all the time, and swapping from rom to rom just for certain parts of the game seems like an unnecessary hassle. :/

Even though I can't test it myself, I'm pretty sure it does, since the PureSoft Frameskip is there for DSi users, who can use a frameskip of 1 instead of 2 (which I find unplayable for many games, sadly, but it's not his fault, it's a hardware limitation).

I don't have anythong to compare it with at the moment, as I'm on vacation in Italy and all I've got with me is my Sudokuhaxed DSiXL.
It does run really smoothly, and I run it from the SD card directly, no need to use a flashcart !
I'm so glad that the day the sudokuhax was released I acted quickly and downloaded the game before Nintendo took it down !
Unfortunately not much has been done homebrew wise to take advantage of it, but it seems that most of the staff that's being released today and complied with the latest devkits libs works fine off the SD card and in NesDS case can even write to it.
I'll try some comparison when I get back home and put it on my DSlite.

I just changed it to SP-Pertile, and that didn't seem to fix it...

Thank you so much for this update! It's very feature-rich...and what's more, it works on my DSTWO. (The plugin still gives me a white screen, but manually selecting it through the DS game menu works perfectly!)
I'm gonna try NiFi later on with my sister!

Hi, i tested the emulator and all my favorite games works perfect in this emul, is more enjoyable to play than in a psp emulator! Congrats!! Anyway you think that is possible add time rewind to the S8DS? It have some great games too.
