Cartmanuk, I'm interested in your source that said the Wood1.42 for r4i gold worked at unbricking a r4i-sdhc card. Link please?

Cant find link at mo. it was reported by a member that the update worked on a working card.

I think we can safely say the cart is pretty much dead then.

Can you return it to the place you purchased it from?

If you were in UK I would say send it to me for attempted repair.

it's not the retailer's fault, my friend closed the ds while it was upgrading

i have two r4i-sdhc 1.4 carts, one is working and one is bricked

Mine got bricked too 2 months ago, it was a R4i Gold.cc flashcard. There were no way to recover it as the same updater which brought it from 1.41 to 1.43 couldn't see the card, or the flash chip in the condition it should had. You could contact the admins to see if they can help you

Better cards offer reflashing from a bad update, like acekard 2i

There is you need another cart that works form r4i-sdhc.

In case of card broken(no card found, no Icon displayed): Using the patch:

You should get a NDSL and another flashcard(were call it "A"), which works properly on NDSL.

1.Download the latest firmware and unzip it to the root directory of your tf card;
2.Copy Patch to your tf card;
3.You should get a NDSL;
4.Just power your NDSL on and boot up Patch with "A" card;
5.Take "A" card out of the NDSL;
6.Reinsert your broken card into the NDSL;
7.Press KEY_A & updating process will begin;
8.You should keep your NDSL powered on during the updating process;
9.IF the result shows SUCCESS, it means you have updated your card successfully and this card can work
