I was wondering if anyone here knew how to enable the modwii easter egg?
I donated $5 to the provided address ([email protected]), but I haven't gotten an email back yet... I sent it quite a while ago too. Has this easter egg ended?
I need to apply the easter egg before I finish my modding, because I know the easter egg is part of modding process. Once I finish, I need to wrap the modded Wii up as a Christmas gift, which my family expects under the tree by tonight (hence my urgency...).
May someone please help me out with this? I really want to give the best I can...

I always reply to the paypal email address that sent the donation with the easter egg. I was told maybe 3 months ago that my [email protected] address was getting flagged as junk by gmail addresses, so now I reply using my [email protected] email address. So you may want to check your junk mail to see if my email is there, if not, send me an email\PM with the email address that sent the donation and once I can confirm the address I'll email\PM you back with the easter egg.

No you do not need to. Not having the easter egg does not prevent ModMii (not modwii) from you completing your softmod. The easter egg is not part of the modding process. The easter egg is just an added bonus, but certainly not required or needed. Modmii still has all the same soft moddin features whether you know the easter egg or not.

Also, Xflak is the only person who is able to tell you the easter egg. If you share the easter egg with anyone or someone else shares it with you or anyone else then XFlak reserves the right to remove the easter egg and make it nonfunctional anymore. The easter egg is not to be publicly shared...ever. If someone leaks it out or shares it then they will ruin it for everyone else. Xflak himself confirms who has the right to know about it.

Honestly, seeing a thread about this kind of grinds my gears. I wish you would have just emailed or PMed xflak instead of making a thread about it because I know he does not want anyone to be tempted to share it.

Anyone can easily make a thread without giving a donation and say "I paid my donation, where is my easter egg", and some other fool who is just trying to help could give the easter egg away to someone who did not donate.

Everyone, please be respectful. And if you know the easter egg then please never share it. It is there to benefit those who donate. But if it is shared with people who do not deserve to know it then it may be taken away and then everyone would lose out...even those who did donate.

2) yea, anyone with brains who just wants the easter egg and doesn't want to support me could easily find the easter egg themselves. The only thing that might make it slightly difficult is the sheer number of lines in ModMii (it's a lot to go through for your average joe if you don't know what to look for), but in the end it's a batch file, it's not like I can obfuscate the code or anything, lol.
3) I agree with you there. Anyways, if the current easter egg is leaked I'll likely just change the trigger for it in future updates and send out a mass email to all the email addresses that have sent donations to my paypal. That being said, in the email I send to people who've donated I explicitly state "Please keep this information to yourself; if this information leaks out I might be forced to change or remove the password in future updates."

Anyways, the OP hasn't PMed or emailed me, so I assume he likely found the email I sent him buried in his inbox or junkmail. I think this thread can be closed now.
