I have about $15 in my eshop balance, and I'm wondering what would some good DSi or even 3DS games would be to get. I already have practically all the ones listed in the essentials topic, at least the good ones. I don't, however, have all that much in terms of DSiware. So yeah! Get to suggesting! :D

I particularly enjoy RPGs and puzzlers if that's any help.

Hum... Zenonia is a good one, there's also Crystal Monsters (if you like pokemon, it's kinda similar but dif at the same time and quite enjoyable).. There's anonymous notes 1 and 2 and several others that I have downloaded but forgot their names. xP

Hum... Gameplay is kinda like zelda, but it has factions (you can be good or evil), it has levels (you lvl up n stuff), you get better equiment by leveling up and buying, you have lots of skills, etc...

Here's the trailer:

There's others tho... *Checks 3DS*

There's Elemental Masters (not really an rpg, it's like a card game but with a really dark background and story, it's kinda like a puzzle tho.. It's fun to kill time with), Anonymous Notes 1 and 2 (also kinda like Zelda and Zenonia gameplay wise, however they're dungeon crawlers and have random dungeons everytime, the story isn't really their strong point tho, although they are kinda fun, despiste that), Legends of Exidia (this game is more of a serious rpg, your armor and stuff actually change in the game, the story isn't all that bad.. This game doesn't have many good reviews mostly because it's made by Gameloft, but I actually like the game, it's quite fun and addicting for the lenght of the game) and lastly there's Picdun (it's an rpg, but at the same time it's a puzzle, you have fights and stuff, but you need to solve puzzles along the way, the gameplay is like Etrian Odyssey, but it's really hard at times because of the puzzles).

And those are all the DSiware rgps I have, not including Crystal Monsters and Zenonia. xP

I like dungeon crawlers when they use graphics rather then text. Animation helps too. I'm not usually a graphics snob, but as I'm colorblind, graphics instead of their usual text GUI make the thing a whole lot more playable.

I have to recommend Pushmo if you like puzzle games. I thought the reviews might have rated it a little high simply because it is one of the first decent 3DS eshop games but it really is great. I have spent a LOT of time playing it and have finished all but the very last set. It also basically has infinite replay value with the ability to create and trade puzzles through QR codes. It is a steal for $7 when you consider all the crappy DSiware and game boy rereleases that cost $5-10. Anyway, best game I've played on the system besides Super Mario 3D Land.

I am also looking for DSiware/3DS eshop recommendations. I have downloaded:
-Inchworm Animation (haven't used it much)
-Magical Whip (excellent game for $2 - can't say enough about how great this game is)
-Alphabounce (also VERY good, played it for many hours and still haven't finished it)
-Dragon Quest Wars (not my type of game - waste of $5 - also the game lacks ANY content beyond a short tutorial and then its all "free play")
-Escapee GO! (alright for $2 but only played it for about an hour before I got bored)
-Pop Island - Paperfield (not bad but only fun for a short time unless you have someone to play with)
-Portable Shrine Wars (thought this was VERY overrated - not very fun at all in my opinion)
-Telegraph Sudoku & Kakuro (bought this for the Kakuro but the puzzles suck big time - they are designed very poorly compared to the version I played on a Japanese DS game)
-Photo Dojo (I can't even tell you what a worthless "game" this is - absolutely terrible and I can't believe it gets good ratings)

So the two I recommend most highly are Magical Whip and Alphabounce. Magical Whip isn't an RPG or puzzle-game but it's great if you like very challenging arcade/platformer style games.) Alphabounce has some RPG elements such as "walking" around a map and collecting equipment. Don't let the fact that it is a breakout clone turn you off because I typically hate those type of games but this was pretty addicting.

I have a pretty big wishlist and have read all the reviews so I know which games are probably good, but it would be nice if someone could make some personal suggestions. I absolutely do NOT want any games that are "lite" versions of DS games (clubhouse games, elektroplankton, etc.) or games that I can play on another platform like iOS or even PC (Bloons, Cut the Rope, Zenonia, Cave Story, etc.) I don't to pay $5 for a game I can buy on iOS for $1 (actually free...) Also I am not interested in the game boy virtual console crap. I've got a Supercard DSTwo for that ;) I also refuse to pay $12 for a game like Shantae until the price becomes reasonable. Certain publishers feel that their games are worth 2-3x as much as other DSiware games for whatever reason, and I am not planning on buying their stuff at the moment. Soo..any other RPG/puzzle/whatever games other people like?
