Now that GBA games are available for download on 3DS, is it possible to transfer our .sav files to somewhere in the SD card so we don't have to start our old games over?

I don't think Nintendo would allow us swapping savefiles since their the primary source of exploits on a handheld/console.

It's likely to be stored in the actual emulator/GBA game file it self.
I looked at the SD card, and there are actually .sav files for each game. The thing is that I can't tell which numbered folder goes for which game. And as someone said before, they may be encrypted. Anyone give it a try?

Delete them all, then play only one game, then you'll fine out which it is :)

I would put money on it that they are encrypted. And @heartgold, if you cant be bothered, dont post.

Hi guys I'm new to the Temp but anyway I tried replacing Minish Cap's save with a europe one and it didn't work and it also didn't work with a usa save aswell. Also I've noticed that the save file was around 100+kb and the downloaded ones were around 8kb..

Tested on an Australian 3DS btw.

The easiest way to tell if they're encrypted or not is to use a hex editor to try and modify the value of something simple like number of rupees. If you know how many of something you have, you can search for that number in the save file (after converting to hex).

I'd do it but I can't be bothered :P

well, i have nothing better to do, i will try it.

Edit: after re-downloading the game onto another SD card.

Edit: yep, encrypted.

I was playing Minish Cap on my phone. Would be nice to transfer the save to the 3DS. Hope someone decrypt it soon
