Actually i been wanting this since 1st hearing about the 3DS.
was always wondering if there would be a Youtube 3DSWare app, kinda like netflix on 3DS.
that would be beast. login, watch youtube videos on 3DS (in 2D or 3D) via the Youtube 3DSWare, & upload you're 3D 3DS videos via the Youtube 3DSWare. (even download you're own videos to watch on the go)
when you're on the browser & want to watch a youtube video when clicked it opens the Youtube 3DSWare just like on iphone/ipod touch.

someone needs to contact youtube or google & get this made. :yay: :yay: :yay:

It will probably come out. I thought there was going to be Hulu too. Remember that? Seeing as though Xbox delayed their youtube app til after the update, might be fair to presume that nintendo could be planning one or atleast its possible. I'd say the chances of this are slightly more than 50%.

Or you could play games on your handheld gaming device.

Weird concept, I know...but you gotta try it.
It's pretty sweet.

You know what you are really starting to piss me off. He didn't come and post his opinions for you to bash him, if you don't want any features in a portable device besides gaming then don't bash others about it. Keep it to yourself. The guy came in here to share his opinions about it and how others agreed with him.

One can dream what one wants, but really, you guys are probably not the first to think of a Youtube app for the 3DS. 3DS devs and people within Nintendo might feel the same way. But them higher-ups in Nintendo gets the say, and they probably decided otherwise. Else, we would have seen native Youtube support already. It's not that hard to implement if they really wanted it.

tl;dr is it's highly unlikely. people should accept the fact that it's probably not gonna happen. Nintendo would have announced it pre-launch, alongside Netflix and Nintendo Video.

Nintendo wants nothing to do with Youtube. More importantly, Nintendo wants nothing to do with Adobe Flash.

no amount of petitions will work if Nintendo says no. but then again, Nintendo hasn't said anything yet, so might as well try.

oh yeah, i'm pragmatic by nature. not exactly pessimistic, but more of a realist. seeing as we haven't seen or heard anything official from Nintendo that even remotely points to compatibility with Youtube, I'm not too keen on waiting. i'll be pleasantly surprised though if it happens.

EDIT: and hell for the sake of being correct.

He asked a question the question was "don't you think..."
Nope, I don't think.
I disagreed with his proposed idea, and was pretty straight forward with why.

Smite me down, God in heaven.

Meh... I only use youtube for music and some funny vids.. I see no reason what-so-ever to use my 3DS to check youtube, when I can check youtube on my laptop or desktop, which have a much bigger screen and sound. =O

I don't get why people complain so much about a console not having youtube support or what not... Consoles are meant for playing, even the browser itself wasn't needed, but it is kinda handy when you wanna check something while playing a game for example, but other than that I find consoles having youtube useless... Back in the day consoles were just meant to play, they didn't have any fancy OS like most consoles nowadays do, all you had was the console and the game, which is all you need for a console. =O
But since we need wifi nowadays for multiplayer, internet is needed aswell, but not for youtube.
