have the same problemIt works for me when I convert a 2D video, but side by side videos won't play. The 3DS says it can't be played because the format is unrecognized.
This is how the side by side converted video looks on my computer.

I advise you to get a 3d video first then keep reading the thread.@KingVamp Exactly~ I don't get it. Is there an explanation so that I can understand what i'm doing wrong?
I don't mind chopping up videos into 10 min portions, they are easy to select and start quickly on the lower screenI hate Nintendo for limiting us to 10 minutes. They most likely did this to prevent us from converting full movies/tv shows to the device.
Edit: I also tried converting a side by side video i downloaded from youtube but it just shows up side by side on my 3ds.
I wouldn't necessarily say that. They planned it for what the recorder would do, which is up to 10 minutes of video recording, so, they only needed it to playback 10 minutes. The average 3DS user wouldn't know they could upload their recorded videos to YT, and even less know at this moment that we can convert videos to work on the 3DS itself. IMO, if Nintendo is watching this progress of us getting videos onto the 3DS, they'll do either one of two things. First is do nothing because there is no real harm being done, but second is possibly giving us what we want, and that is playback of our own videos through maybe a separate app. I didn't list them trying to block our attempts, because that would be dangerous to mess with current recorded videos.I hate Nintendo for limiting us to 10 minutes. Possibly, as long as you can set the parameters/arguments like spinal's example.I didn't try it yet, but I want to say thank you to both Sifjar for the GUI and Spinal_cord to find the format and how to convert it
I guess we can also convert the video using any other video manipulation programs (like avisynth)?.
But the GUI is always a nice choice.
Great tool but where do i have to put the files on the 3ds? I tried the folder where my other pictures and videos are but they don't show up on the 3ds...
Thanks, didn't know this. Now they show up but with the date 01.01.1900 is there anything to do about that?Great tool but where do i have to put the files on the 3ds? I tried the folder where my other pictures and videos are but they don't show up on the 3ds...
You sure you've got the file named correctly? It should be in the format XXX_YYYY.AVI (where X = letter, Y = number).

Don't know if I'm overlooking something, but any of my 3D side by side videos don't seem to appear on my 3DS. I've run them through the batch file, double checked it followed the XXX_YYYY.AVI guideline, but it's still not showing up.
2D videos work absolutely fine though.
Any advice or suggestions?
