Well, seeing as I don't totally care about 3DS compatability, it's all good for me. But, I have a question that may seem really stupid.

How can I disabled the Disable Anti-Piracy functions for games that have fixes issued? I'd like to re-enable it in Michael Jackson's The Experience so I can show it to someone, but the option for that in the settings menu fails to work. :/

I clicked the source file from this thread. It states that things have been hectic in AKAIO-land, going on to say Normatt has three pending "fleece lawsuits." My question is what exactly does that mean? Could someone with the story on Normatt please elaborate? Thanks guys!

It doesn't even work in the DSi with 1.4.3

http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Updating_the_AK2i_Bootloader

as previously stated in this thread, akaio is not the bootloader. akaio is the kernel or rather the operating system for the acekard.

please read the article in the above link to find out how to reflash your ak2i. the ak2i hwid 81 is 100% working on the dsi v1.4.3. the ak2i hwid 44 is not working on the dsi v1.4.3, and as acekard pretty much publicly stated, it probably never will. if you have a hwid 44 card you should consider upgrading to an 81. you can check the hwid of your acekard in the akaio help menu.

Another World, I know you know the story about Normatt. Quick re-cap perhaps?

Thanks, but mario it doesnt work with new fw.....

He meant, Thanks but Mario doesn't work with the new firmware. LOL :)

Why would it? It's not a bootstrap for the AK2i, you have to wait for the acekard team to release that...

I'm pretty sure he knows that. He was making a complaint about the 2.2.0-4 update taking too long. I'm assuming he wasn't directing the comment at Smiths or anyone else in the AKAIO team.

On that topic, I'd like to say clones and many other "lesser" flash cards have updated their boot loaders to support 2.2.0-4 firmware. I for one, am not satisfied with the aK Team's performance on this subject. This is crappy service. If they are waiting for the next Nintendo update before releasing an updated boot loader it would be appropriate to inform us, the customers. Regardless, $5 dollar flash cards are sh*t*ng on the aK Team as I type this post. :nayps3:

You are getting all of this support for free, so quit whining.

Also, this firmware contains bugs that cause your system to freeze or even shut down.

You realise an updatable bootloader isn't even an advertised feature?

http://www.acekard.com/product.php?type=ak2i

You'll notice that nowhere does it guarantee to update the bootloader before other brands of flashcart. Or at all.

That made me lol

AK team are probably just waiting for the big update. It's only 3/4 days away. Not long to go people.

I heard that the number of games that you could use as the header are limited, so maybe they are trying to conserve the usage?

Bumping this up.

It's actually limited? Interesting. I wonder if someday any game could be used.

You'll have to show me where they guarantee you free bootloader updates forever ... if at all.

If you're not satisfied, go pick up another flashcart. A savvy DS user intent on piracy should always have at least two carts -- their favourite, and one as a backup for when things get slow.

In my opinion, the teams working on flashcarts should have two payment tiers. Tier 1 is just buying the cart. Updates come to increase compatibility in order to continue sales of their cart, but are not guaranteed -- they come when they come. Tier 2 allows you to register your cart for more frequent updates, and download said updates that are locked to your cart. After all, why shouldn't they be paid to keep working tirelessly for you? Do you go to wherever you work and magnanimously decline your paycheque every two weeks?

Probably not.

The great thing about free enterprise and an open economy is that you get your say with your DOLLARS. If you're not happy with a service, you don't have to give them any more dollars. Yay competition.

I think this post was worded perfectly. If you don't like the service, then why do you have an AceKard in the first place?

I guess it was a good idea to get that R4. I can't wait until it arrives. :D

Wow if its not a whole tribe of Acekard d**k riders. Seriously though, one you don't me. Number two, you through around the word piracy as though I'm broke and can't buy any game I want, which I can because most games made today pretty much suck. News flash my signature that is present on each and every post I make says very clearly that I have more than one cart. I bought an acekard 2i because you all bowed down and glorified it like it was the best thing ever made, so I gave it a shot. It makes me laugh that every other card I have has already updated, every single one! AKAIO is great and I like Smiths, he seems pretty cool for the limited amount of time I've spent talking with him. I posted my comment about the aK team hoping to rile a few feathers but I never thought it would get personal. I find that a class-less act, frankly. I find it funny how the majority of moderators and some members of this site have a "piracy is not for me" attitude. The contradiction with the moderators lie in the focus of this site. GBAtemp is an underground gaming website. Underground gaming goes hand in hand with piracy. I don't care what kind of argument you try to drum up. Every underground gaming website reports exploits and some even report rom availability. Another thing that I find laughable is that the majority of gbatemp members with >500 posts tend to be too critical and speak from atop their high horse. Why don't I leave you ask? The only reason I stay here and post is because I like helping people and some of the members here are great. I'm not going to let the crappy members drive me out. :D

Protip; admission of trolling isn't smart.

It is smart. The point was to let people know that the aK team they worship is in my opinion a crappy team. So are you saying I can't say something that other members wont like? If that's the case then this website is ridiculous.
