Misc WiFi hangs at connection test

Wifi was working.
Reformatted the Wii system memory
Reinstalled all the ios/cios/mios/channels from a fresh ModMii install
Wifi no longer works.

Any ideas or suggestions I should check?

All my other devices works just fine (NDSi, Xbox, smartphones)

I didn't think priiloader could kill the whole connection? Just the updates?
I'm not getting an error code or anything. Just an endless load.

iirc priiloader can at least make the connection check fail
not sure about more

afaik it depends on the hacks.ini used anyway
you will have to take look at yours to be certain

So here's another question before I take another look at my PC settings.
Does the connection test have to be successful at least once for homebrew to initialize the wifi?

I wonder why that hack is there anyway, making the test fail serves no purpose at all

Looks like it had something to do with the WPA Authentication. I opened it up, let the wii connect, and then closed it again. Everything is cool now. Apparently the wii doesn't like authentication on first connect?
