Hacking channel for neek2o

sorry, your wanting to load neek2o with out the sd card correct, havent been in this topic for a min.(looks to be highjacked) but could be wrong.
as obcd said neek at this point isn't able to run with out the sd card unless you make an app to load it. ( this i have never tried. but will give it a go).
before i do i'll test it on mine. an see how it works. i can get to it tonight. but i also read in the main neek2o an could be wrong but it's not supporting 4.1J,( but this could be custom nand, an not real nand) yet again could be wrong. but i'll make the app to load from a cios to see if that will work to get neek started, if not the kind of coding need to run with out an sd card is way beyound what i know how to do.
had to go back an read this post to get strait on what we were talking about. just let me know what icos you want it to run off of, an i'll download it an make it. make sure though it's not one your using for any of your usb loaders or apps.

FYI your HBC is running off of IOS61 instead of IOS58, reinstall the HBC via the hackmii installer to get it to run off IOS58. What's your problem again btw?

If you go back a page or 2 u'll find a post from obcd or overjoy explaining how to build it.

Basically, download IOS56, unpack it, replace the 0000000e.app with the kernel.bin for uneek (found in sd:\sneek or usb:\sneek), repack the wad, change the slot number to 230 (and optinally change version # to 65535). Then install the wad using a wad manager.

Now, to load uneek without an sd card, u just need to load IOS230 (and have the USB HDD with emunand plugged into the Wii). To load IOS230 just change 254 to 230 in the source of this app (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/BootIOS) and recompile, it's only a couple lines of code so it should be really easy to make. Then to launch uneek without the sd card just load the boot.dol you just built (either via the HBC, priiloader or inject it into a channel).

The problem with this method is that you will need to recreate\reinstall the IOS with every kernel update.

A second problem is that you can't boot into the neek system menu when priiloader is installed on it.
The system menu generates an error and stops loading. Other nands I tested just freezed without an error.

thanks for that clarification mate! Anyways, if you guys can't get usb mini working in nswitch, then we'll worry about tidying up this workaround. I'll add it to ModMii if there's no better alternative a month or two down the road.

@xflax thanks for a more in depth, yea a little out of my area, i don't want to cause any problems, with others wii's. i'll jsut let him(geovalley) update his hbc, an see if things work out. (i'll stick to what i know so far, making channels.).
@obcd,? mine works with priiloader, i always use it on my nands(kids).. an it boots fine, although it gives the green screen on my tv first, but it loads.?? i have a 4.2u/e nands both have priiloader.

Wow, just missed a lot here.
The wii is wield here.... I reinstall everything using ModMii with sysCheck and update all. Then re-install HBC. Guess what? It still resides in iOS61!!!!!!!
I used MMM and saw it's on iOS61. Changed it using iOS58. Then from mmm install hackmii. Re-install HBC. No luck! What's wrong?
Is it possible version 4.1 problem? Does it need upgraded to 4.2?
Help, help! How can I change it using iOS 58?
I even uninstall in hackmii then re-install right away. Still 61

download IOS58 from ModMii download page 1, install it, then try reinstalling the HBC. I've got to make a change to ModMii's syscheck updater, it didn't tell u to reinstall IOS58 when it should have.

sorry, it's nothing to do with channel for neek2o. just another problem ....
whenever i load hbb, it crashes with core dump. no exception.
my hbc=1.0.8, hbb=0.3.9c system=4.1j as saw in earlier syscheck, but updated up-to-date by modmii, hbc loads ios58 now
if this is a wrong place to ask this question, i apologize . should i start a new discuss section?

Snikerz complained about the embedded mini. Apparently I forgot to place those sources on the google svn. I fixed that right away.
I can add a copy of the GPL and a message that the mini sources are embedded. Would that do the trick?

well me beeing "noob" ( i laugh at this term but oh well).. seeing that this channel is just a "reskin" or a channel already used. were would I find this gpl. yes i know what it stands for an the meening behind it. to me if it's used. an already writen. the it free to genral public to use. as it should meen, 1 not making money or making others pay for it. 2 it's free.
damn i made this channel just to help out. easy to do,(customize mii/ showmii wads). man just lost an upset is a better word. shit i come home my wife loves to bust my utt's. try to do some thing nice an still get my utt's busted. by some chick , the mods i can deal with. they are the bosses. screw making a new one. i'll keep it for myself.
