Hey.
Yeah I know you get this questions all the time and yes I know you'll kill me for it, as well as it's probably already answered somewhere, but spare a guy some love.

Can 3DS be homebrewed to play 3DS games? Yes or no?

And if not, can 3DS games be maybe played on DSi?

Peace, and thanks.

See Nintendo? This is what you get for releasing a DS, a DS Lite which was the same thing, a DSi which was barely an improvement and had what, 5 dedicated games and mostly crappy DSiWare, the DSi XL which was just a bigger version of the DSi and then the 3DS.

People IMMEDIATELLY assume that the 3DS is just a DS with 3D, ESPECIALLY parents and people who are not tech-inclined.

Out of fear of the same scenario, Sony changed PSP2 to "Vita".

I blame the bad marketing and lack of clear advertizing. Look at what happened with the WiiU announcement. A lot of people thought (and still think) the WiiU is just a new Wii peripheral, even after watching the presentation.

I'd really just call it a DS2 and a Wii2 - avoid freaking confusion at all costs, Nintendo.

When you see a "2" in the name, you clearly make the assumption that it is "a sucessor of 1". You don't even need mind-blowing marketing to explain that. When you name your successor as if it was an accessory, you cause confusion, and when coupled with crap marketing you cause factual chaos.

Totally hacked. We have a softmod that allows you to boot 3DS games directly from Nintendo's servers.

3DS games can be played on the DSi perfectly, but unfortunately you need to have a flashcart that supports magic. They cost $5 on the GBAtemp shop.

You're both late for the party, the thread went off the original rails and heads directly into the unknown. We know discuss more interesting matters than kicking someone in the guts for asking a silly question, so you can just as well knock it off. ;P

in b4 lock.

there's gonna be a lot of reverse engineering of the 3DS before anything gets anywhere. I don't know how any of this works, and i hate sounding like a broken record, "just be patient"

the "inb4lock" has no spaces and it's several years old and is now boring
