It kinda went the same way for me. Hearing quite some stuff about it, friends watching it, deciding to try out one episode, secretly liking it

A user on gbatemp known as [m]monkat[/m] turned me towards ponies. He forced me to download his amazing pony folder, and from there, I went to discover the magic of friendship and the show on my own (because he sadly got banned and inactive).

I'd be glad to pass his pony folder onto you guys, cause he also made the original pony thread (even though this thread largely surpassed it.)
