Hacking Updating to 1.08

got a question about homebrew channel 1.08,i like to update to 1.08 but have read that some people had problems with it??

espesily with usb loaders??

i also have preloader 0,3b is it still there when i update from 1.06 to 1.08?

and can i also update the priloader??

Like to install the new cios21d2x but my daugther likes to play games with the microfoons so ,i stil run ciosrev14.

Don't now if it works right with it cios21d2x and how (with base),

or is it better to install hermes 5.1 afterwards for the singing games? Need trucha bug (how do i now i have)

Looks like you already have trucha bug, but need a syscheck to verify it. You need to install IOS58. Here is the link http://wiibrew.org/w...IOS58_Installer
Then use hackmii again to get 1.0.8. Actually it is in that page. For microphone I used 250[57] or Hermes 224. Well, if these instructions are not easy to follow you could use a guide (any guide, btw IMHO they are pretty much the same). When I did that I did not have any problems, but I started with 4.2U system.

My daughter likes Disney Sign it with the microphone.

i now the answer it is needed to install homebrew 1.08 or it will install on a different IOS

but does my priiloader(0.3b) still works with the new homebrew version???

You need to update Priiloader v0.7.

Considering how old his version of Priiloader is, I thought it best if he update it instead. There have been quite a few improvements since v0.3b.

It's not needed, but it's advised.


The problem with microphones used to be that the cIOS reserved both ports for the USB hard disk. This is solved for some time. The d2x cIOS can (probably) all work with microphones. At least the recommended one does (base IOS 56).

I'm not sure if priiloader 0.3b can find the new HBC, but I would recommend updating it anyway.
(note: you mention both "preloader" and "priiloader". For the record: "preloader" was the predecessor of priiloader. If that is what you still have, I'd certainly install the priiloader 0.7 over it).

I am sure, you got figure it out. The thing is 1.08 using IOS 58, installs homebrew in a different way. I think earlier versions used IOS 249 (or IOS 236?). With this new way, if you update your system (and if it does not get bricked), you will still have hombrew.

DUde! Preoader? not priiloader? HBC 1.0.6? V16 CIOS? U have got to update your softmods. usu syscheck and open it it modmii and update!

priiloader 0,3b works fine with this, haved tried to enter homebrew channel but bootmii works and it still blocks disc updates,
now need to install ciosd2xv6 and hermes

Why not just remod with modmii? Practically every aspect of your Wii is out of date.
