The 3DS should have had the second analog stick at launch.
So I added it.

And look at my lovely shopping skills.

Except the second stick is too close to the buttons and size of the system would not allow for a slider there with the circuits underneath.

Buttons look hard to reach that way, and I'd rather have the analog under them.

Nice shopping skills, though.

^ no...

Not that we didn't have a thousand threads on the same thing, but tbh, that set up doesn't even feel comfortable even if it was possible.

It's easy to design something when you only have to do the shell and not think about the innards. Where have the components that were previously housed under the new second analogue gone? Or have we just thrown them away?

Quantum technology. They're stored in the center of the moon now.

Just kidding. What you can't see with my picture is that the newer model is slightly thicker to allow more circuitry.

People doesn't know what to say, and if they say something but doesn't know nothing about how those things are made, they end posting things like that.
If you guys are worried about the design using the 3DS add-on, you don't even need to leave your homes if you prefer design > controlls.

I'll take the shell of my 3DS and with glue add a second circle pad and sell to them by full price without all the things that goes inside. if they think that all is needed to do is to simple copy paste there the second circle pad.

I know its just your opnion, but i think nintendo know what they are doing and if they seen that 3DS doesn't need a second circle pad, i think they are right. It's not mandatory to use the add on.

I just said. They'd need to make it a bit thicker.

I actually laughed at this. Also, you expect three cameras, a speaker, and a 3D screen all to fit in that tiny space?
I don't think so, bro.

The left analogue stick takes up pretty much the depth of the case, as do to components on the right below where you've added another one. So by "a bit thicker" I guess you mean "twice as thick"?

There's no point in imagining what it would be with another stick or whatever is missing. It is what it is.
