Strong momentum is very important for game platform businesses and a strong software line-up to vitalize a platform is necessary to maintain this momentum. In the first half of this year, however, we could not make the continuing sales of the first-party software released last year as we had planned, nor, in the course of preparation of the next platform[Wii u], could we release new key titles for the existing platform in a timely fashion due to completion delays until the latter half of this year. After the upcoming November, however, anticipated titles for Nintendo 3DS will be continually released, which we hope will bring a big boost in the year-end sales season. We would like to thereby fulfill our responsibility to ensure bright prospects for this platform toward the next fiscal year and beyond.

Despite the bad source, if this happens to be true then I am glad. Nintendo just needs to slow down and work out the kinks with their system before they release them. I feel as if after the 3DS fiasco this console will probably sell quite well, in fact I believe this will sell more than Microsoft and Sonys next consoles. Don't quote me on that though.

That source isn't a very good one (never heard of the site before and doesn't look too popular based on Facebook likes).
And in your quote looks like you've written it out TBH, no spaces after full stops pisses me off to no end.

Something different over at CVG:

I seen another source saying about the same thing, but I lost it. About the spaces, I will fix in the future. I try to pinned on the important information and keeping the quotes as small as
possible. I didn't see the need to do "" when it is in a qoute.

I call BS, Nintendo knows they killed the wii with the casual label. But why should they care?, it printed them tons of money. Now that 99% of america and japan families own one, they know longer need it's money from games. Time to move on to the next money maker scam. Yeah I feel like I got scammed by Nintendo by buying the wii. Worst system since the VB, even the Saturn was better.

Wii is a great console, they didn't kill it with the "casual label".
There are a lot of great games on it such as Mario Kart and Brawl.
If you seriously only see casual games, then you aren't looking at all.

I think it's bullshit that gbatemp auto-chops a space when you double space after a period. What the fuck is that.

More like Nintendo proved the adult gamers in my life are right, Nintendo is for little kids and their families. I never used to listen to the "because it is Nintendo" comments, but i do now.

If you think the wii is the worst of all time, then you may be brainwash by the word casual. It may not same power of HD consoles behind it games, but there were some good games on it as well. When you think wii, you think variety games and when you think the other consoles, you think shooters, shooters and more shooters. Which may be true that most of the game are shooters. People didn't hear the word casual and went to the wii. No, they went there simply 'cause they like the wii. The wii u development may actually have slow down release. Almost every dev could be working on the new console. Which makes sense despite the link.

The only thing the "casual" label did is create haters to bash on Nintendo in everything they did or is doing. Create hate on people who like certain games and somehow blind people
of the adults and teen that play on console as well. All that while using the word "hardcore" to make them feel better about themselves.

When you think wii, you think variety games and when you think the other consoles, you think shooters, shooters and more shooters.
Please don't generalise your thoughts.
I wasn't saying that how truly the games are... well with the other consoles.

QQ cry more
When I think casual, I think games that you don't need to learn, spend time playing for a decent amount of time and jump in at anywhere.
That just so happens to be a huge selection of the Wii library (and other Nintendo products).

The Wii is still leagues better than the Gamecube, casuals or not. In terms of library, the Gamecube receives a thorough spanking.

EDIT: Exception being 007 Nightfire. Goldeneye was a good substitute though and I'm a sucker for Quantum of Solace, oddly enough.

Also, whoever doesn't acknowledge the fact that the Wii was hugely targeted at casual gamers is obviously blind. If you really consider your grandpa who barely knows how to use Internet Explorer as much of a "gamer" as you because he plays Wii Bowling once in a blue moon, then your definition of a "gamer" is way too broad.

You know jack shit about other consoles then. When i think of other consoles, I think of good games. Some of them are shooters.
