How do I prevent updates from installing? and also..so far is there any game that requires you to update? if so is there a way to bypass that requierement?

okay then...also is there a way to know which version of the update I have? I just bought a DS TWO flashcart online, though they say it works just fine even with the latest update..

: / you say no when it asks you to update
I think OoT required people to update to the latest firmware

Wait what seriously? But my friend doesn't even have eShop (Launch 3DS) and she can play OoT just fine...
I read somewhere on the forums about some people being forced to update to play it, I'll try and find it
EDIT:

Well, all i can say is, that i couldnt start Zelda on my v1 3DS, cause it told me, that an update is necessary for it to work.
Maybe there's a difference between the european version and the american one, i dont know.

And, yeah, you can update your 3DS with just the game, of course. You dont need internet access for that.

btw. they should have named the game "The Legend of Zelda - Navis Revenge" as i get the impression, she's even more annoying than in the original game.. just sayin..
Oh, yeah, great game, except for navi, but who didnt knew that?
I guess it's for Europeans only :P thank god

Enable parental controls for an added layer of protection -- it will prompt for a pin before an update goes through.

Also, go to "System-->Internet Settings-->Spotpass-->Automatic Software Downloads-->No" to keep the update from downloading. The CPU will nag you repeatedly if it is allowed to download to your system.

best reply so far...thanks, I'm just unfamiliar with all the menus...being a newbie and all.
