Hacking (AK2i) System File is Missing

Can someone explain to me whats wrong below are pictures of whats on the card itself

If yes reformat msd to fat32 and extract akaio on it.

I thought the akmenu4.nds went into the root. But then again I am using an ancient version of akaio.

I do believe that's what he meant (he didn't say put it *in* the __aio folder) and that's what's shown in the picture.

I was at school, and the picture didn't show.
Oh, and it appears I can't read. Thought he said IN the aio folder. I'm just full of fail today.
But, if reinstall doesn't work, try this:

I just remembered having a similar problem with setting up an acekard 2i for a friend. I remember when I tried to load AKAIO, it would give me the error, but when I tried using the official ak firmware, it worked fine. I just had him open the AKAIO nds file through the official firmware.

Try loading it with this or this. If it works, install AKAIO on top of it, and just rename akaio's akmenu4 to akaiomenu.

akamenu4.nds in root - yes.

http://www.acekard.com/download/ak2/ak2_423_20100721_release.zip is a 4.23 akmenu version for aK2
http://www.acekard.com/download/ak2/20100427_AK2_SP.zip - form readme "This special version of Acekard menu is only made for some certain AK2 but not for AK2i."
