Yep, this stuff is called Steroscopic sound, most games today use this. The most memerable I can think of is Battielfield BC2 and the BF3 beta

What did people hear during the Phantom Words clip? I continually heard "No Way" out of one speaker and "No" out of the other, until I started focussing on the other speaker at which point it switched. Weird...
