I have really been wanting to upgrade to the DSTwo for months now, but have waited for word to see if there was a successor planned. I know the DStwo came out around mid May last year so was thinking this would be the time for it to be released or announced. Anyway, has anyone heard anything?

Yeah, that is what I was starting to wonder. I like my acekard 2 but I love everything the DStwo can do. I don't really plan on buying a 3ds for a little while anyway.

i expect a new card that will work with 3ds games, and not before that, there has recently been a dump by the group LGC, and they claim that they have gotten the dumped .3ds files running, and it's only a matter of time until "the chinese to figure it all out aswell"

Chances are there will be a SCDS3, but that's a while away. We just have to wait until 3DS mode is hacked, which I think WILL happen this year.

Note: just because a game has been dumped, doesn't mean that the 3DS has been hacked. I have the 3DS rom myself, but even if you find it, you can't do anything with it.

No SuperCard DS3 for a while, there is no point with the success, and how advanced, the DSTWO is. There will most likely be a SCDS3 when 3DS mode is fully hacked, probably not for a while (even though they dumped a 3DS rom, that does NOT mean the console is hacked).

Are you guys crazy? Not even DSI has been hacked yet. :/ The only flashcard that can run DSI games sucks, is glitchy, and barely plays any of them. Anyway, even if 3DS WAS hacked, DSTWO is perfectly capable of playing the games-unless 3DS uses a new type of flashcart-which it doesn't. There MAY be firmware hacks, although Nintendo warned that the system will fail to boot if you DO touch the firmware.

They also warned that use of unauthorized third party hardware may render the device inoperable.

Turns out it didn't.

ds-mode on the ievo is the same as the evo, pretty ironed out with few bugs. dsi-mode on the ievo suffers from the limitations of the exploit only. dsi-roms which we have were not properly dumped, which is why the flash kit "barely plays any of them". the compatibility layer for ds-mode roms and homebrew is shite, but homebrew compiled with the latest libs is rather enjoyable.

the flash kit itself does not suck.

If you read Terminators comment you will see that he is quoting LGC. LGC say they not only dumped multiple games but they ran their own dumps on the 3DS and they worked perfect. So the system has been hacked. Get one of the LGC dumps and read the nfo for more information and a couple pictures, for proof. Terminator has one of the pictures in his post above. "It's only a matter of time till the Chinese figure it out as well." ;)
