And there are a ton of mid-shelf games (IMHO) like Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Turok games, Quake II, Duke Nukem, Doom, Kirby, Pilotwings, anything Pokemon, 1080 Snowboarding, Snowboard Kids, Beetle Adv. Racing, Cruisn USA, and a personal fav of mine, Re-Volt.
That's just off the top of my head. I've never understood the 'only a couple games' shit-talk re: the N64. IMHO its core catalog has held up a lot better than PS1.
Well it just arrived, already pulled my day one N64 console w/UltraHDMI off the tv. The red m64 is in, irony of it all, about a month or so ago I found an immaculate red OEM controller, so that's going into use.
I don't get this one butthole I saw on I think reddit claiming the M64 was broken, had to use SD cards to update, had problems. I think it was flagrant fanboyism or a plant from analogue, as this fired right up, easy to see 8bit retro style idiot buttons in colors if you can't somehow read. You go right over a few spots, right at top is wifi, flip the on switch, pick your network and get password set, and off it goes when you hit check for update, then click on the same field as it says update available. I've been at it between 5-10min and it's around 2/3 there as i write this.
I wish I didn't have to work the rest of the morning and dentist later --sigh. I'll find time to throw Mario 64 in there and Pilotwings after as a rite of passage. First games out (96), first games IN on this in 2026 almost exactly 30 years to the date...ironicy well timed I'd say.
,,,and now it's on the last edge of a 16 slice circle.
I agree with the first part, I don't know about the last part -- and I don't want to. Keep the fucking poltiics out of here, leave it in drama land elsewhere. Already had one retard try that in here the other day. I've been on forums for decades and I'm happy to see places banning it outright or keeping it into one localized dumpster fire to ignore. if the software allowed it I'd set the entire damn slice of ignorant behavior ghosted but I didn't see a way to erase it.

I should be working but tweaked with the settings some. I put a custom setup in with the bloom at 3/5, and then under advanced set the 2/4/6 option for scanlines to a 2 and that came off looking quite a lot like the fine lines and solid look bloom and all to my 14" color monitor so I'm pretty impressed. I kept Mario 64's bounding around head as the test panel given it's so up close and animated along with the flat tiled sprites text and background panels it's a good catch all. I've got a 120 save on that cart in an alt spot, wiped off A, will be taking a new spin on this sometime later today.
I'll have to see about that QR code or what not from their website, curious about the whole run down on the manual and all that but it's so far a good impression in the setup at least vs output.
