Dekopon - (Mostly) Fullspeed 3DS Emulation on Nintendo Switch

First of all, thanks for this! It runs very well! But could you please add a layout for vertical but facing the other side? So I can use the headphone port on my switch, I'd appreciate it very much.

Sure. It'll be in the next release.
@PalindromicBreadLoaf Thank you this is and incredible software. Performance is better than my laptop i7-gen 6 and nvidia 360MQ lol (no vulkan)

Any more performance expected?

My favourite game Pilot Wings 3DS seems to shake and jitter around on the screen (is there a work around for this)
Does that game use the 3DS' gyroscope? If so it could be that maybe the gyro is too much? Or is it like the whole image jitters around? Is there any way you could get a video of this happening because I don't own that particular game.
my observation so far, all fmv lag so hard in every game.
Yes, that is something that is true. I believe it's because I don't have any hardware accelerated video decode at the moment, but I may be wrong on that. Haven't exactly looked into it much to be honest.

would it be possible to add a "Swap Screen" option in button remapping and a way to unbind/blank buttons we don't need in a future update? thanks

nothing happens
where did you here that cheat menu is already in this update? i think your mixing the two project. so i assume you know the other fork, that's why i answer you. the other fork has a cheat support. by respecting the dev. i don't want to hijack this thread promoting/mentioning the other fork.

yeah i think i mixing up

hey, sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread but thank you so much for making Dekopon. I'm developing Raikopon and your base helped me a great deal when trying to understand and modify the architecture. I am unable to post any links for now - GBATemp limitations, but you can find "Raikopon" on GitHub for a speedy port, I regularly update it.

Please let me know if you have any feature requests, my goal is to eventually make a feature-rich 3DS emulator instead of a lean one.

you have to press l or r when on the quick menu
My variant has an entire cheat menu that you can access in quick menu. It is per-game. You can add, remove, enable or disable cheats on the fly. It is still super experimental but it has worked well in a few games I've tested.

you can create your own thread in this gbatemp specifically for your fork

Yeah. Shouldn't be hard to do.
why there's no cheat option when i press -+ button?
It's not in the release build yet, but sometime today or tomorrow there will be a new build that has full support for mods/cheats/texture packs.

Hey, I saw your fork actually. I borrowed code from two of your commits as they were helpful here, so thanks for those. I think we have the same goal here actually, so it may be best if you want to create PRs for future features you implement as I'll most likely accept them rather than have us both be working on the same thing at once. Or you can maintain your own fork if you wish to. I'm not going to stop you from doing that.

A new release just dropped: https://github.com/PalindromicBreadLoaf/dekopon/releases/tag/v1.2.1

This includes many of the features that have been requested by people, including, but not limited to:
  • More screen layouts
  • More upscaling and filtering options are exposed
  • Disable right-eye rendering is now an option
  • More control binding options
  • New quick menu options and a new look
  • Minor performance bumps
  • Cheats/mods/texture pack support
Disabling right-eye rendering is a huge performance boost for games that don't break with it on. It can be toggled on/off live from the quick menu, so be sure it give it a shot.

Be sure to say if there were any regressions or issues that you found with this version, or if you have any feature requests.
