Splatoon Raiders gets new gameplay trailer, set to launch July 23rd

It's been a long time coming. After being announced last year and very little else being revealed since, we now have not only a new trailer, but a release date for the upcoming single-player entry to the Splatoon series. The game sees you exploring the Spirhalite Islands as you hunt for treasure, making use of familiar gameplay mechanics to fight the various aquatic adversaries you encounter on the way.

You can check out the trailer in this post, with the game set to launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on the 23rd of July.

So far not a single game they've released, has justified the existence of a Switch 2, or even brought any value to it.

Guess I'll wait another year or 2, until they release something worth while.
Says not one of the 19 million Switch 2 owners who have been enjoying great games and upgrade graphics on their S1 games too. It's embarrassing to tantrum in this way while Nintendo sets sales records and fans prove you wrong.

By the way, the Nintendo Store page for the game is up. Prices have been confirmed to be USD $50 digital, USD $60 physical. I know some of you are going to pull a Nintendeen and try to claim that's too expensive (when people were praising Claire Obscur for being at the same price digitally), but there you go.

£42 in the UK, definitely not too bad.

For anyone wondering this is a cheaper title. $50 digital $60 physical.

Game sounds fun but why didn't they have a direct for this announcement or something more than a trailer? It makes me nervous about the quality of the final product.

NDs these days are trailers plus a few minutes of some commentary. Disappointing.

Well then, good news! You don't have to spend $600 for a Switch 2. Because it's $450!
In in Australia. If only it was $450

I'm pretty excited about this release I have wanted a single player Splatoon for a long time. Pokopia was fun but its a bit to cozy for me sometimes and mario kart world is fun but I cant just play that every day you race all the courses unlock mirror mode play the courses and then you play every now and again. I wish there were more titles but I can play my switch library on my switch 2 and even with a jailbroken switch the switch 2 runs better. So its always nice to enjoy something. Instead of crying about price or "worth."

Yes, yes. We all know you're a pirate waiting for someone to break the firmware so that you can pirate Switch 2 games and pretend you've always liked whatever you pirated (or whatever bs excuse that those who are guilty about their piracy use to try to justify their actions). Tell us something we don't already know about you.

Hush child, as you know nothing about me!

And who said anything about pirating games, I clearly said I won't be having this one!

Oh! Geez really, the 19 million people bought the system, must be better than me, on my!

I'll be damned if I have my own mind and my own ability to think for myself and not conform to the masses and buy something that holds no current value to me!

Oh! Geez, I must be so wrong!

If you don't get the f..k out of here with that!

People can enjoy what they want! I clearly said," I don't see the value."

Meaning I'm my own person and I have a right to live my own life and think my own way!

What is everyone not getting about that, everyone has there own opinion!

Did I attack people who bought the system? No! I clearly said it's not valuable to me at the moment!

Yep. That's a day one purchase for me. The amiibo's too, I only focus on the Splatoon amiibo's but I hope we get a triple pack, 90$ for all three members of Deep Cut if you buy them separately is a really steep price.

Never liked this game. It never was, and never will be. It is not a video game to me at all. I prefer to finish the game and see credits, like in a film.

A new Splatoon game was one of the very last things I was expecting to see.

Oh? It was announced a year ago.

Even this isn't worth buying a Switch 2 for

YES! Finally!! Looks really good, but that alone won't make me spend $600 on a Switch 2

I am buying a Switch 2 for this game. Well, not only for this game but it's my primary reason for buying one.

I believe they announced it in a direct, but how do you know they won't have a direct for it or at least include more about it in a direct before it releases?

i HOPE this fails.

Kind of a sad way to feel about things. HOPING someone or something fails? Weird thought process going on up there, but okay?

I understand enjoying having an ending to a game with credits and all. I enjoy those things as well in the majority of the games I play. I assume this will have both of those. But even if not, what is it, if not a video game?

Why should I look any deeper into your personal or streaming life when this one line tells me everything I need to know about you? The rest of what you said is basically just insecure gibberish to justify your legally-questionable actions in response to being called out on them.

If I truly didn't know anything about you, then how did I know EXACTLY what to say to trigger you into responding to me? If you're smart, you'll prove me wrong and won't reply to this or future comments. But we both know you're too insecure for that.

You must really love roguelikes/roguelites, then. They're typically in the USD $20-$40 range, and you can see the credits for those and put them down after finishing your very first run within the first 1-2 hours. If you're lucky enough to not die to RNG or a moment of pure stupidity.
