Is it still required to use de_fuse when doin a sata drive? or can i use isfhax. Also does any one know if i use wafel_unlimited_mlc if im using a 256gb ssd, or do i use the regular setup one?

I tried the regular setup one, ran "Patch (sd) and boot IOS (slc)" and everything happened so fast i didnt have time to look at the led. there was text scrolling on screen and then it booted to the regular menu.

Now thinking about it while im typing this, i didnt initialize the drive on my computer first, should i do this and format it to fat32? Also i never cut the trace on the mlc, is there any positives to leaving it un cut minus the fact id have to solder two points to restore it?

Edit:
My drive just ended up not being compatible at the end of the day. Patriot burst elite 240gb is not compatible

You can use ISFShax and you don't need the unlimit plugin for SATA. You also don't need to delete the scfm or mlc.

This is a 2TB HDD or SSD? (if SSD, what the model?)
SSD is overkill and 2TB is extremely overkill.
(if you really want to know the SSD I tried it was a Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2Tb lol :rofl2:)

Use a SSHD or just a HDD (max 1TB) because taking something faster and bigger than 1tb is VERY useless from what I've seen and tested... :teach:

I've been working on my Wii U Mini for basically this whole past week, and I gave up on relocating a eMMC or SD card, so I bought a 128GB mSATA SSD to use as the MLC. Installation worked first try!

Patches for the disc drive do exist, there's just not a super easy way to install them (and tbh I don't remember where they are anymore).

You would need a patched vIOS, but there isn't one released
Do these patches already exist? Are you released now? I really wanted to have them with me, because I would like to play some Wiiware titles, but without giving up the SSD connected to the SATA port.

Very cool, one could fit the entire North american Wii U library in a 1tb drive, and a couple of Japanese exclusives with it.

That is so cute! What are you using for the shell? You have the opportunity to tap into your inner Gunpei Yokoi and make a truly inspired design.
Is the SD card replacing the front slot, or the eMMC? You could use rednand and free some overhead out of the msata drive when you boot a game, it might be an interesting experiment.
I love this community so much, using phones as Wii U tablets, on a mini Wii U. It's just so idealistic Iwata era Nintendo, lovely stuff.

I crafted a shell out of the original shell. As for the sd, the picture is very old and that flex is no longer there.

May I see it?

You can boot wiiware from usb loader gx, and all homebrew for that matter. It's what I use.
