Hitman World of Assassination gets cross-progression support on Nintendo Switch 2
A heavily requested feature since game originally launched in 2021 as Hitman 3, cross-progression finally came to the latest entry in the Hitman series earlier this month. Supporting PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Windows across all three major storefronts, it allowed players to move between platforms while retaining key progression and unlocks. Nintendo systems were notably missing from this lineup however, this including both the Nintendo Switch Cloud Version, and the Nintendo Switch 2 Signature Edition.
Initially excluded to give IO Interactive time to fix issues with achievement syncing on Nintendo platforms, they today decided to release the feature as-is, noting that 12 achievements in particular may have to be re-earned if first achieved on the aforementioned versions. These include:
- The Creative Assassin
- Top of the Class
- A New Profile
- Tools of the Trade
- Unseen Assassin
- Stylish Assassin
- Bullet Train
- Seven Figures
- Hawkeye
- In a League of Their Own
- Never Knew What Hit Them
- Silent Sniper
- Experience
- Player Level
- Challenges
- Location Mastery
- Unlocks and Inventory
- IOI Account Rewards
- Achievements / Trophies
- Freelancer Mode Progression
- Campaign Story Progress
If you've been waiting for this feature to pick the game on up Switch 2, the game is currently 20% off on the eShop, with the sale expected to be live until the 9th of March. Note however that you will need a hefty 53GB of storage for the download.
