I recently am trying to unbrick my old Wii U. I managed to run UDPIH and grab the system logs blindly. If someone could read over the logs and tell me if my EMMC is dead or if it is something else, that would be great.

A lot of files give the "MEDIA ERROR" message in the log files. I guess you have a Hynix eMMC chip? A NAND-AID can help you or (USBMLC I guess).

i do have a Hynix. :’) I just recently loaded it to chatgpt and it was like “nand hardware fail”. Is it possible for me to save my data regardless of the failure?

Would I still be able to do this if my console does not display onto my tv and my gamepad disconnects after flashing the Nintendo logo?

I'm not familiar with redNAND but if you defuse your Wii U then you can use the serial connection.
In the past I had the same problem, the Wii U was not displaying an output on the TV/monitor.
By doing a defuse I was able to control the minute menu, now I'm in the process of fixing another one that has also no video output. But by doing a defuse you have to solder.

Check out this: https://www.tzirf.com/nintendo-consoles-handhelds/wii-u-defuse-soldering-video-tutorial/

Maybe some other users have better options but the defuse made it work for me.
