There have been errors that prevents you from going online because the game doesn't recognize the save file.
And it's easier to just use ACNH mobile to switch the map items it the layout it's the same

Edit 3: problem was solved on GBAtemp. If you rezip the folder (not even necessary ig), don't compress the folder itself. Go into the folder and compress all the files together. If you compress the folder, it'll get compressed within the zip, meaning your file structure will be zip > folder > files which is no good. It needs to be zip/folder > files

theer is an opton in jksv that disables compressing files. Post disable if i save it shows as folder.

i have 2 switch
SW1 latest atmo jksv firmware LATEST NEW HORIZON
SW2 last update was 6 months ago , new horizon not updated. Has the saves.

i uploaded the saves from sw2 to sw 1 both method zip and folder. It doesn't give an error. But when i start the game it starts new. Jksv gives the option to save directly as zip that diditn work as well.



back then i used injectors for items but never moved island. So with your method i can move my island from old switch to a new map on new switch?

Do this
Switch 1 (old) make a backup of your island
Switch 2 (new) make a backup of you island

Transfer both saves to PC
Open Save (old) on nhse and dump the 4 map files
Open save (new) on NHSE and import the (old) map files
Save and send to jksv
Restore and done
It's your current island with old map design

Or use the island transfer tool

you can use island transfer tool on modded switches?

edit: when you say make a backup of yoru island is it a new backup with jksv? And why saves are only on device, how this applies to different users.

edit: extracted the save folder. Zip back only the content and i was able to restore teh island. wht cant we simply restore the zip folder jksv made?

Could someone also attempt dumping this dream address? DA-2798-9942-2780 (PairA’Dice) I found it in a video from someone who went to the 3.0 update preview they did for content creators so I believe it may be an official island?

Yes, you can use island transfer tool on modded switch's

I mean making a new backup just in case, if you have one ready use that.

For ACNH the save on device because it doesn't matter who's the user, all share the same.

I don't know exactly how jksv works
