The original "The Legend of Zelda" gets a reimagined fangame release
Beloved franchises always have the most dedicated of fanbases, and sometimes, that dedication inspires their fans to develop their own games, or even their own spin at the originals they love.
Such was the case of developer Jeb Yoshi, who wanted to make his own fan made 40th Anniversary celebration and has taken a stab at the original The Legend of Zelda for the NES, and decided to give it his own spin in a brand new engine, adding a lot of new content to the original game, as well as revamped visuals, music, enemies, bosses, and much, much more!
The new, but still faithful, graphics for both world assets and enemies that Jeb has created for this retelling of the original bring an incredible cohesion to the entire game, making it a much more refined take on the original 8-bit graphics, but without deviating from the source material, remaining faithful to the original vision and aesthetic of the game.
The gameplay has also seen a massive upgrade, with arrows being now a separate counter item, Link being able to swing diagonally, new enemies, bosses and characters taken directly from the Zelda franchise (and perhaps some from another place), like the Chu chus, brand new areas to explore, world effects like fog, animated overworld tiles and new animations, rearranged dungeons, and much, much more!

This is an unofficial fan-made reinterpretation of the original Legend of Zelda for NES. It may appear similar to the original but there's many different surprises to be found here. Think of it like "Super Mario Bros Special" types of modifications made to the original Legend of Zelda, with new enemies, new areas, new secrets and more!
Remember that this is NOT made for profit and should not be confused with an official Zelda game. The Legend of Zelda series is personally my favorite video game series of all time, and if you've never played any of the games before, I hope this game motivates you to give the others a try! You won't regret it, trust me.
As a disclaimer, this game is a little more demanding than an average FNAF game. Lower end computers might struggle to run the game and you might get some weird Clickteam frame drop glitches, I apologize if you encounter any of these!
Those interested in trying out this fanmade reimagining of the original Zelda title can try it right now by visiting Jeb's Gamejolt webpage, as the game has been released just yesterday, on January 25th. The package includes an instruction manual as well as the unpacked EXE, meaning it's only compatible with Windows devices (and/or Linux if you know how to set it up with Wine/Proton).
