Banjo: Recompiled is a fan-made port of Banjo-Kazooie on PC

A surprise port has just dropped, courtesy of creator Wiseguy. Banjo: Recompiled is a project that takes the beloved Nintendo 64 classic game Banjo-Kazooie, and fully ports it to Windows, Linux, and Mac. The game can run at higher framerates, widescreen, adds in the note-saving feature from the Xbox 360 port, free camera controls, and support for two romhacks--Jiggies of Time and Nostalgia 64. Banjo: Recompiled is available over on GitHub, if you're interested in trying it out.

Wow, this came as a surprise! I remember never getting BK to run quite right years ago with emulators. Now it's perfect and we have all the modern extra's. I'm very happy this was made.

Cool, I hope this runs with hd textures on the steam deck
@SDA it works absolutely beautifully with HD textures on the Steam Deck. Just create a file called portable.txt in the same folder as the .exe, so it puts everything in the game folder, then run it once to change the rom and activate the mods. Then drop the folder onto your Steam Deck and use Proton experimental. Set to fullscreen instead of windowed so everything is displayed correctly.

You're welcome!

Aaah, it finally happened. I've seen so many posts about it, and now those fans can finally enjoy Banjo on PC. Kudos to Wiseguy.
