All dictatorships are exponentially worse than allowing a sovereign nation to choose its own leaders. Besides, the dictators that Trump is cozy with are the worst of the worst: Putin, Kim Jong Un, Netanyahu. With idols like those, Venezuela will be lucky if a genocide isn't in their future. Not all dictatorships are the same, and you know that.
This isn't Minority Report, "future crime" is not something that can be prosecuted. And if the US can't hold our own leaders accountable for their crimes, then any prosecution of another nation's leader is simply a farce. And again, Maduro himself was getting ready to do something similar to his neighbor (invading Guyana for oil).
The irony is palpable here.
You're seeking out anecdotal examples which support your preconceived biases, rather than thinking this through logically. The US has a long history of fucking with South America, and as a result we've made countless enemies there over the decades. This will only add to their ranks.I'm not speaking for any Venezuelan. It's clear as day that the people there are happy about what happened. It's their voice.
