How to install the Wii Homebrew Channel on a Korean Wii console that has been region-modified to system version 3.3U?

I have a Korean wii with the system version modified to 3.3U. When I try to install the Wii Homebrew Channe by using ModMii Wizardl, it shows an installation failure message. Connecting to Wi-Fi to upgrade the system also fails with Error Code 30024. Using ModMii's HackMii Solutions Wizard also fails. Using str2hax also shows that installation is not possible. How can I install the Homebrew Channel on a console with a modified system version?

Edit: an official update is extremely likely to 003 brick your console, as KoreanKii wasn't around back when 3.3U was commonly used in region changes. Count yourself lucky that your attempt to do an official update was blocked. Can you confirm if you have pre/priiloader installed?

If u have any cios left over from the previous mod you could just install the hbc using a wad manager.

Hello. I followed modmii's hackmii solution but couldn't install the WAD file it indicated.The installation screen shows an message that pre/priiloader is not installed. This console was bought online.

Use modmii's syscheck updater wizard, but for extra safety afterwards you might also want to CAREFULLY use Korean kii to check if the Korean key is still installed in the wii's seeprom, if it is, use the tool to remove it

Edit: if going the ohneschwanzenegger route, be careful to ensure the korean key is removed BEFORE restoring a non-korean 4.2 or 4.3 ohneschwanzenegger nand (4.1 is safe), this is to prevent a 003 brick
