I have one unit also on 21.1.0 and one unit on 20.4.0 , it has to do with your setup.
@Hayato213 i only have essential things installed,

and don't use themes

I didn't have to reinstall any games going from 20.x.x to 21.1.0 , but you might have to reinstall games if you didn't set up syspatches correctly prior to launching any games, as for other stuffs you would have to update homebrews.
Sound good! As long as I don’t need to redownload something I’m happy 😊

I'm having an issue. Both my EmuNAND and (stock) SysNAND are on 21.1.0. After installing several game updates on SysNAND, copying the files from the "Nintendo" folder over, and running "Fix Archive Bit" from Hekate, every game I updated on SysNAND refuses to start on EmuNAND, instead claiming that they need to be updated still. Sys-patch says everything is good, and games with no updates still work.

Nothing is installed; all games are either carts or were purchased from E-Shop on SysNAND.

User partitions are different on EmuNAND and SysNAND, you need to install updates manually on the EmuNAND.

This used to work, though. Is there a way to pull the updates out of SysNAND?
You could recreate the EmuNAND as a copy of the current SysNAND.

The problem is what your current EmuNAND and SysNAND user's partitions are desync so the «Nintendo» folders are invalid on the other *NAND

you can extract the savegames, DLC, Updates and NSP files from a SysNAND using NxNANDManager or if you are able to run homebrew on your SysNAND you can use https://github.com/DarkMatterCore/nxdumptool/

You can use DBI installer or Sphaira to dump games/updates/dlc without all that messing about, For example with Saphira, Just connect a usb cable and open Saphira, press the minus button and then MTP install, all the drives will then show up on the pc and you can drag the games/updates/dlc to the computer. DBI is similar. You can use JKSV homebrew to dump game saves and then reinstall them. You can mount Sysnand with Atmosphere and do all the above.

Actually, files keep disappearing from the EmuMMC Nintendo folder after copying, so I'm thinking the culprit is a bad MicroSD card...

Hi all!

I am new to this forum.
Yesterday I installed a modchip into a newly bought Switch OLED, installed Hekate (6.4.2, latest) and Atmosphere (1.10.1, latest) on an emuMMC SD card.
Due to an issue installing Tinfoil I downgraded from FW 21.2 to 20.0.0 succesfully.

My current problem is, that when I start a game (which is preinstalled from creating emuMMC) or Tinfoil the game crashes directly after start with the message "Unable to start Software. Return to the HOME Menu and try again.".

I saw that this could be because of missing sigpatches, but I tried the sigpatch linked in the title of the first post (unpacked the zip files and copied the content to my SD card) which doesn't help.

What could be the issue, how can I fix it?

I would be glad for any help!

Thanks a lot @impeeza and @bth for your work!
Any idea why the sys-patch-v1.5.9 available for download on GBAtemp and on Github are different?

[Edit] It can be deleted, I have posted it in the wrong thread, SigPatches instead of Sys-Patch.

if you don't provide what version of atmosphere you are running and what firmware version you're running, then can't really help you.

if ams 1.9.5 and 20.5.0 and below, use sys-patch 1.5.6
if 1.10 and above, use any version of sys-patch of 1.5.7 or above
