I'm wanting to sell off an original model Japanese 3DS LL and wish to uninstall its CFW before doing so. I've already updated its CFW to their most recent versions, but it's been region changed to USA as opposed to the stock JPN. I don't have access to the NAND of this system from before the CTRTransfer was performed and am aware that attempting to uninstall CFW in this state will guarantee a brick. I was wondering if going through the CTRTransfer process a second time to change the region back to its original one would help alleviate this issue without having access to a NAND backup, so then I could go through the rest of the CFW uninstall process without risk of bricking the console? My hopes are that restoring the original region will prevent region mismatching with the software, but I don't know how complicated the CTRTransfer process is, so I just want to be sure in case there's anything that can go wrong.

It should be fine since the original SecureInfo file is for JPN. Just be sure that you follow every step of https://3ds.hacks.guide/uninstall-cfw to ensure safety. Missing even a single one could cause a brick that requires ntrboot to fix.
Alright, thank you so much! I figured it would be fine but I just wanted to make sure before I committed to the idea.

Since it is region changed you can't uninstall without restoring to original NAND or you going to brick. I mean I would just sell it without any games install and call it a day, I would tell the buyer not to uninstall CFW, that was what I done with the region changed one I sold.
