Oh, I see where the confusion comes from. Rashevsky, who maintains the github repo, is NOT duckbill. So, there obviously don't have source code to publish.
He apparently asked duckbill whether he can publish it and that's where all the tagged console stuff comes from.
By documented, I mean those messages from duckbill reprinted in close proximity of translation download link. For everyone to see and make informed decision based on that.
There is really no need for you to take this whole public protector stance of yours.
For example I, will keep using DBI for as long as possible, because I really dislike sphaira ui. There may be other people who feel the same. Or need some obscure dbi feature which sphaira does not support.
Those people will read the disclaimers on git, and decide whether it's worth it for them.
edit: this discussion is also mostly academic. There are thousands of people using the translated version and apparently aside from one guy are experiencing no issues with it. We could say that it has been empirically proven than duckbill was just trolling.
