2.5 ish questions. All New3dsxl sd card and all latest versions of bootstrap and twilight menu++

1.) how do I change the defaults here? Couldn’t find anywhwre in any menu to set default to DSi mode
IMG_8908.jpeg

1.5) I’m asking because ace Attorney for whatever reason doesn’t like the default and in some places like here. 1 default, 2 dsi mode

2.) I know Black Sigil was a problem child. Does or run at all on new3DSxl through bootstrap? I can only get it to run on my dslite through Kernel but of course don’t have that option on 3ds through twilight menu from sd card

You cannot change the defaults of some settings such as "Run in", "ARM9 CPU Speed", or "VRAM Mode". This is because changing those settings from their defaults can cause issues for some games.

Yes, it does.

Yes, it does.
Question 1.) thanks
Question 2.) I get the splash screens then just black screens and no response from menu shortcut either. Only option is home button to return to 3ds menu.

Update:
Did some investigation and something is (re)broken in the latest bootstrap.

I downloaded v0.61.2 and renamed it as a nightly then pointed the game at that and it worked (with all the limitations listed).

Maybe it would be a good idea to have an expanded allowance of alternative bootstrap versions to pick from on a per game basis similar to how Nintendont on Wii and Wii-U allow. This way those picky games that are special cases (or forks that break global support in favor of a single title) can all live in harmony

That's very weird, since the game still works fine for me on DSi (though the console shouldn't matter) with the latest version (both DS and DSi mode tested), and can also load the existing save data.
Have you tried turning off the card read DMA setting in the per-game settings menu? The setting should not appear since the game is already blacklisted from using it, but I want to make sure.
Cheats may also cause issues if they're enabled.

EDIT: I've found that the issue is caused by having a screen color filter (in TWLMenu++ Settings) and/or DS Phat colors (in per-game settings menu) enabled.
Try turning those off and/or wait until the next nds-bootstrap version releases.

Screen color filter probably answers the why of question 1.5 as well since I KNEW that wasn’t happening before I was trying to color match Ace Attorney while deciding which version to play (3ds or DS) and where (DSLite or 3DSXL)

Recently been having graphical issues with some games where the top portion of either screen start glitching out, in some games it's more noticeable than others (Ultimate Mortal Kombat, Super Princess Peach, Mario 64 DS). I tried with different roms from different sources, tried tons of different setting options, same issues. I'm running the latest version of TM++ on luma, any help would be appreciated!

Edit: Not entirely sure which settings did it but I managed it somehow. I just can't get the Twilight Patcher to use GPU Scaling in tandem with an individual game's widescreen aspect ratio mods, not sure if there's a way to get them to work simultaneously.

v27.18.1
Includes nds-bootstrap v2.9.1 (GBATemp thread)

What's new?

  • The Rocket Robz logo introduced in v27.18.0 has been reverted due to me personally missing the old logo, along with the new logo not being (as) memorable as the old one.
    • The space background from the new logo will be kept, as the old space backgrounds required attribution (which was/is only found within the source xcf file where the logo was made).
  • @DieGo367: After many releases, the `Previous` & `Next` text in the DSi/3DS UIs are now translatable! (#2580)
  • @DieGo367: Stop sounds are now allowed in custom 3DS themes! (#2584)
  • @DieGo367: Added various glyphs to DS tiny font. (#2579)
  • Various: Updated translations.

TWiLightMenu++ v27.18.1(nds-bootstrap v2.9.1), DSi (USA)'s SD.
Unlaunch 2.0, hiyaCFW 1.6.2 (iQue).
Pokémon Black/White/Black2/White2(all Default set, DSi mode, OG or Translated rom, rom in SD>roms>dsi or nds folder) cannot connect to a WPA2 network(e.g. GIFT's WFC), error code 50599 (To use this feature, you must accept the terms of the Nintendo DSi Network Services Agreement in the System Settings).
.
The current solution:
Disables hiyaCFW (iQue), rename SD card's sys folder using GodMode9i (e.g. sys→ sys1).
Or delete hiyaCFW (iQue).
Or use old version of TWiLightMenu++(e.g. 27.5.0, working fine together with iQue hiyaCFW).

.
EDIT:
Just go to hiyaCFW(iQue)‘s System Settings and accept the User Agreement.
If User Agreement error, it's a DNS problem, set Auto-Obtain DNS.

Hi, I'm having a problem playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of the Sky (Europe). Every time I boot it with ndsbootstrap, it gives me a data abort error after about 5 minutes. I also tried booting it via ysmenu kernel, but every time it randomly freezes on the game after about 10 minutes or even earlier.
I have the latest version of Twilight Menu and YS Menu. I've also tried changing ROMs several times with no luck, or even renaming the ROM to a shorter name without parentheses, commas, or periods.
I have everything installed on a Flashcard R4I-SDHC WiFi v1.4.3 Upgrade Revolution for DS (NDSI LL(XL)NDSI/NDSL/NDS) www.R4I-SDHC.COM
I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to boot it.
Sorry for my English. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Flashcard compatibility is known to not be great. Your only solution may be to try a different flashcard.

Is the ROM modified from the original?

Hello, I tried installing Twilight through Universal-Updater, but it doesn't show on home menu. I was rebooting the console and it didn't help. Please help :(

How many DSiWare titles are listed in the Data Management section of System Settings?
