So bc there was no encryption constant that was probably the reason why it kept changing back to a traded pokemon instead no matter how many times I changed it to OT from "Latest OT(HT)". And I'm guessing that encryption constant is yet another new mechanic to PLZA correct? Bc I definitely don't remember it being there in the previous games or previous updates of pkhex or in pokegen.

What other games was it in then? I remember just setting the trainer in pkhex to OT and the pokemon would obey even at lvl 100 even if the trainer had zero badges. but then again I only did that with Pokemon X playthrough which is an old 3ds game and never really dealt with it in the switch games.

And from what I've seen that encryption constant can only be acquired from a caught pokemon. and pkhex doesn't pick it up from the save data itself.
No, encryption constant is tied to the PID which is the RNG identifier for the pokemon itself. They've been used since Pokemon Red/Blue. I think your data just got mismatched, or because you were using mechanics that aren't in PLZA but are in past gens, it tried to make it traded. Like the Heavy Ball you were using is the one from Legends Arceus, not the apricorn ball.

Either way, glad you got your pokes situated.

EDIT: Sorry I got PID confused with the EC. The first games used checksums.

I've never seen that encryption constant before ever so that was definitely a new one to me. I think I remember the PID but not the encryption constant.

You forgot MasterCode because Az91 codes need mastecode to work properly.

Encryption constant was introduced in Gen 6, it is tied to the PID. The "encryption constant" in PKHeX is a 32-bit unsigned integer introduced in Generation VI that, along with the Personality Value (PID), determines a Pokémon's unique characteristics. This constant is generated when a Pokémon is created and is used in certain calculations, such as determining a Pokémon's form such as Maushold different forms.

then in previous updates pkhex must of generated that automatically bc I don't remember it in Pokemon Sun or Pokemon Ultra Sun or Pokemon X. does it work differently if the save data is pulled from the emulators like citra? bc I played Sun, Ultra Sun, and X on Citra.

Does exist in those game you mentioned as it was introduced in XY.

Hey that debug menu doesn’t work at all. I hit the buttons gamebanana said to and nothing happens. The menu is supposed to load and won’t

did you restart your console after transfering the mod. it's not as simple as updating the cheats file and closing and opening the game.

Unless you’re using Serebii or Bulbapedia for proper reference, there’s really no point in generating Pokémon from scratch. Just use the Encounter Database to pull valid Pokémon from the zones that are already registered — or wait until new areas get added.

As I’ve mentioned before, PKHeX is still a work in progress. If you try creating your own Pokémon from scratch and it doesn’t work properly — or worse, corrupts your save — there’s no one else to blame. You also can’t compare XY to ZA, since the timeline isn’t even confirmed and tons of data has been changed or removed.

Just be patient, or try to catch your Pokémon legitimately in-game. Most encounters are static or on a rotating timer anyway, so with a little patience, you can still get what you’re after.

here's a map with almost every pkmn and item you would want to find in the game
