Btw i've noticed Shadows 4k mod can crash the game in some cutscenes even with the 8GB option. Dunno maybe a 2k shadow mod could help?
It's also a performance hog as well, with negligible returns for what you're paying for it.

I took some before and afters, and I went from a steady 60 fps down into the low 40s with minimal traffic on screen.

Options are good, and I'm glad it's available, but you're better off diverting that power into bumping up the resolution or slapping on some ReShade .fx

A 2k mod? I think I'll pass on that, too. I'll be far more interested if someone rigs up an increase to shadow render distance over resolution bumps. Now that would pique my interest.

Ever since the game was playable on ryubing/ryujinx, I've had terrible, horrendous pop-in in all instances and all combinations of settings/firmware/keys/mods i've tried, opengl/vulkan, all different combinations of upscaling and dram allocation, etc.

Especially the little grass patches and bushes, everything just dissappears and flickers in and out of existence right in front of my character, like every time I move my camera, everything pops in and out around me as I walk or stand still, it's not even in the distance, it's all the random objects in my view, boxes, trees, carts, grass, etc.
Even tried Eden to fix it, but it's exactly the same, and everything else is even worse on Eden, so that's a no-go.

Also tried all of Fl4sh9174's mods, but pop-in is still there, it's the only issue I still have with the game becoming normal visually.

Does any mod exist to actually fix the pop-in that's near my character, or am I still missing something?

I think that’s just how the switch 1 version looks I briefly played it on my switch and it’s honestly pretty bad there as well.

That's the mod i'm waiting for, i would like to play but the popping is too much. I may buy a switch 2 sooner than expected ^^'

If you are not using the mods that might be a draw distance issue. I haven't got time to play on real hardware to see the issues between emulator and real hardware.

I will probably do it this weekend.

Check and see what Memory Manager mode you have Ryujinx dialed to under CPU Mode.

If you have Software toggled on you will experience slowdowns since you're emulating the memory manager of the Switch. This helps prevent crashes or memory related issues, but it's the slowest out of all the options. You should only use this if the game is unplayable without it. That is to say, it's prone to crashes without it or doesn't boot unless checked.

Host (fast) is faster since it utilizes your computer's native memory and is generally the go-to option, but it's less accurate and potentially prone to crashes/errors.

TLDR: Use Host (fast). If the game becomes unstable, fall back to Software.

Also, what fps mod are you using? If it's not Fl4sh9174's invention, then you should ditch it in favor of his.
I am using host unchecked for the memory mode, and I am using the fps mod from Fl4sh9174's repo. I'll try putting on the Host (Fast) mode to see if that makes any difference

Where is the option to use 8 GB? I'm using the most recent ryubing canary and didn't see it anywhere in settings. I also don't have any advanced graphics settings or a VSYNC option besides clicking on it in the bottom left. I've seen people talk about all of these settings elsewhere.

EDIT: I actually just found these settings by switching to the classic interface, but I can't interact with the menu options anymore. I can only interact with my roms and right click to use a custom configuration instead. I was able to eventually switch back to the default interface and now I have the missing options.

i8GB and VSYNC are in the System tab

I disabled the 4K shadows mode because i cause either the game to crash or 40fps instead of 60

I have the game running at 60fps with some minor drop but in battle or while using capacity i get freeze./drop frames because of the copiling shaders

1.0.0 mods should work with 1.0.1 except Dynamic FPS and maybe Ultrawide (I don't have an ultrawide monitor to test it, also I don't care about ultrawide).

I just checked the code and compared it and they look the same, so the list of mods that should work is the following:

- 4K Shadows
- Disable DOF
- Disable FXAA
- Improved FOV
- Level Of Detail
- Reduce Bloom
- Static 60FPS

Also nsobid it's the same.

I'm getting good performance and minimal graphical defects on Eden and Ryubing canary now, but best with Eden using these settings. Mind you, I have a monster rig (5090) so I can handle this and get locked 4K 60 FPS with minimal-to-no sudden pop-in and no flickering objects. Try it out and see if it makes a difference for you. YMMV with intel architecture. Here's video of me playing it on these settings. Though be aware YouTube doesn't process the HDR of my video for like up to 24 hours so the color encoding might be fucked until that is fixed.

I'm using the Dynamic 60fps on 1.0.1, what's wrong with it ? i got 60fps ingame with maybe some drop at some point between 50 et 60

Playing on ryubing and the dynamic 60fps patch seems to be messing with dash-in moves like flame wheel/rollout where the pokemon will just remain in place as they attack and it also makes multi hits like pin missile only fire one time.
Strange.

I'm not going to elaborate here, but there are all sorts of guides, both text & video plastered online for you to help yourself to.

But if you want me to narrow it down for you, I suggest you search on Youtube a video called - Shader Toggler Addon Tutorial by a Julio Cesar.
I tried adding Reshade for Ryujinx Canary 1.3.168 and I tried setting it up the exe with Vulkan but it would cause crashes if I tried loading PLZA. I then tried the DirectX 10/11/12 option and it *wouldn't* crash with that, but there was no hotkey/start up menu for Reshade at all. Is there a way you could tell me what I'm doing wrong because I'm pretty dumb apparently

I haven't experienced that myself on Ryujinx Canary. What version of ReShade are you using? 6.6.1 is the latest.

Try Redoing it and perform a clean re-installation. Run the ReShade executable again, point it to Ryujinx's exe, re-select the previous API (vulkan+DirectX) and you'll be prompted with the option to uninstall. Then proceed to reapply it. Opt for a vulkan installation and try getting it working on that api.

Also, make sure you're selecting ShaderToggler by Otis_inf in ReShade's Add-on GUI. This will come up during the installation phase. Do not confuse it with ReShadeEffectShaderToggler by 4lex4nder. If it's present in your folder, make sure to delete it.

Again, we want ShaderToggler by Otis_inf and you must be using the latest ReShade with addon support.
