Hi, the stairs bug is fixed but the freeze in place when dodge still happens (tested the static patch and it does not happen with that one only with the dynamic fps)
also there is also a new problem. slowdown with dynamic fps just like with static but only when doing certain actions like throwing and rolling. so odd. looks like we fixed a problem and aded a new one

A nice little band-aid fix until the game gets patched up officially. This is on Ryubing Canary 1.3.163

You can leverage ReShade Addons, specifically ShaderToggler, to make disappear these nasty visual bugs present with Vulkan.

The only other way I've managed to absolve the game of these visual artifacts was to sideline Vulkan and use OpenGL instead. But that came at a steep performance cost I couldn't stomach.

This is a far better, cheaper approach, and it isn't too hard to set up at all.

How can i leverage ReShade Addons in Ryubing? i want to fix this weird artifacts on my screen but i don´t know how to manage shaders in ryubing or what is shaderToggler.

I'm not going to elaborate here, but there are all sorts of guides, both text & video plastered online for you to help yourself to.

But if you want me to narrow it down for you, I suggest you search on Youtube a video called - Shader Toggler Addon Tutorial by a Julio Cesar.

Emulator issue, there are tons of them atm the only configuration which seems kinda bugfree so far for me is ryubing with opengl api and 8gb ram option enabled. All Yuzu forks are buggy as fuck though so not worth the trouble .

I can get it working with minimum visual flaws on 8GB of Ram, Parnaoid CPU mode and Extreme graphics mode, but I have a 5090/9800x3D, my rig can handle it, but even I get the popping in an explosion of random geometry and flickering lamp posts and disappearing food carts.

Hey, sorry if this is the wrong place to talk about it. I am new to switch emulation and I am experiencing semi-frequent stuttering on ryujinx. Canary 1.3.167 everything is 20.5.0. I am using the 60 fps mod. I have 8DRAM. This happens on both Vulkan and OpenGL.
I also used the full ryujinx release 1.3.3 and had more frequent stutters.

Thoughts? I assume this is normal, but theres a fix right? Maybe wait longer for more updates/mods?

What GPU/CPU combo do you have?

What you're describing sounds like shader compilation stutter, which is typical for Switch emulators. Everyone experiences them on their first play through of any title, regardless of their PC specs.

You can make attempts to reduce the severity of the stutters by enabling say Graphics Backend Multithreading in Ryujinx's GUI.

You could also try exploring using someone's else precompiled shader cache to reduces the instances that the emulator attempts shader compilation.

Now, if you're experiencing frequent stutters/slowdowns on repeat play, that is to say, you're replaying the same content without any new/different variances, then you're probably bottlenecked somewhere, the game is unstable and requires dev attention, or you've enabled a setting that is degrading performance somewhere.

Pardon the interjection, but I am also having a lot of trouble keeping 60 fps on the latest Ryujinx Canary with the 60 fps mod and I have an i7-13700k and an rx 6950 xt, and I have enabled 8gb Dram and graphics backend multithreading. And in areas I have been/ had shaders compile for i'll get slowdown quite often going through them again. I notice the FIFO is constantly 90-98% full, which I did hear contributes to slowdown. Do you think with subsequent emulator updates in the coming days/weeks that the performance issues could be fixed?

Check and see what Memory Manager mode you have Ryujinx dialed to under CPU Mode.

If you have Software toggled on you will experience slowdowns since you're emulating the memory manager of the Switch. This helps prevent crashes or memory related issues, but it's the slowest out of all the options. You should only use this if the game is unplayable without it. That is to say, it's prone to crashes without it or doesn't boot unless checked.

Host (fast) is faster since it utilizes your computer's native memory and is generally the go-to option, but it's less accurate and potentially prone to crashes/errors.

TLDR: Use Host (fast). If the game becomes unstable, fall back to Software.

Also, what fps mod are you using? If it's not Fl4sh9174's invention, then you should ditch it in favor of his.

same here, sometimes i go back down for no reason ? so that's the Dynamic 60 fps mods ?

thanks a lot worked for me!

Btw i've noticed Shadows 4k mod can crash the game in some cutscenes even with the 8GB option. Dunno maybe a 2k shadow mod could help?
