Would someone help me? I need to convert .sav (encrypted, Gateway) so that I can open it on JKSM or Checkpoint.

Hey everyone, I've been around for a while here on GBA, but I've never posted anything in all these years. I know this kind of request must have happened many times. I recently decided to run CFW on my old 3DS (it was version 9.2.0-20E, very old, hehe). I used to play with the red Gateway cartridge 12 years ago (still have it with all files), activating the gateway mode through the website. But I made the mistake of thinking that the saves I had were something "universal." When I ran CFW and went to load my games (it was .3DS files, sorry..), I realized that the .sav files didn't work, and I would need to reactivate the gateway to get those .sav files to convert but since I have now CFW I cant boot that.. I really made a mistake.

I have tried everything searching here in old posts from GBA to Reddit as well. From using Citra, JKSM godmode and apps to trying convert the save but with no avail

I would like to ask if any kind soul could convert my saves? There are 16 .sav files, if possible. I know it is a lot but it means so much to be able to recover it and I can't find any other way than asking someone THANK YOU!

Edit: Thanks to @Kwyjor for showing the thread to install Gateway on my CFW, I confused myself with the information in the thread and thought that my system would not work to install this method, but checking again I managed to carry out the procedures and I managed to install the gateway again and now I can access my old games and saves!! Thank you very much for the patience.

That's right, you need a Gateway. Did you not see the many threads here in the past from people with similar requests..?

You realize it is possible to install and use Gateway even if your 3DS already has the latest firmware, right? It's rather inconvenient, but you might have to consider it. See this thread.

I think there is one which I can`t find the ID

You can easily look up title IDs at https://hax0kartik.github.io/3dsdb . You realize you listed 00040000000EE000 twice, right? It's Smash Bros, not Mario Party. You probably meant 00040000000F8100 .

Your mystery ID "0004000000954400" is indeed mysterious. https://gbatemp.net/threads/adding-stereoscopic-3d-to-games-that-dont-have-it.577194/page-2 says it's Conception II, but it's weird that it's not in 3dsdb.

Anyway, I can tell you right away that your Monster Hunter Generations EU save is completely cooked. You can tell because it's 100% compressed. It contains no usable data. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you with the rest; they might be okay.

Yes I did. I know and I apologize for that, the reason for posting here is because I can't find a solution in any way, I spent entire days looking for a solution, I searched in all the forums I could find (maybe not enough as I thought). I was left with no choice but to appeal to the people here present

I have CFW with Luma 13.3.3, latest release of boot9strap etc. I gonna ask a dumb question, is this ''11.17 Firmware'' is from the system? if so I think I can try this, but the guide is not much clear to me, since I can't find all the files he asks

Ahhhh Conception II! yeah maybe it is right I remember playing that LOL, I really thought it could be Pokemon Ultra Sun, but I don't think there's any way to get this save from what I have read, it is stored in the "cartridge" Gateway right?. Oh well if this can be convert would be nice as well, no problem.

About the Monster Hunter: really? Okay I remember using more to play with a friend online maybe something happened

I mean, I don't think I would have spent "entire days looking for a solution" after seeing that everyone else was already resorting to asking for help from other people with Gateways. But that's just me.

Did you read the thread? It already says:

Your system will need to be updated through the "System Settings" if your console is not on firmware 11.17.0-50.

And no, updating through System Settings does not remove CFW, and there's no advantage to staying on 11.16, especially if you've already installed CFW.

Well because I have tried what people said in those topics.. It did not work for me that is why I'm asking for help here now because I can't acess the gateway.. so sorry If I'm too noob or asking stupid request for those things I'm not doing with ill intent.

Yes I see it now, I thought at the time it was something about the Luma and not the system firmware.. anyways I updated to 11.17.0-50. I will try looking into this thread you showed me again. I'm just a little confused about the files he asks to use but will search it.
