What, to release everything? Clinton couldn't have because he wasn't president when shit hit the fan on this issue. Biden was probably protecting his own people as well. Both sides used it as a hot-potato issue when it suited them, now Trump is stuck holding the potato. The people who lose are the people on the list, and the winners are the general decent public.

He could come out tomorrow and say "She was convicted unfairly, and I will use the powers given to me to give her freedom back, because it's the right thing to do." and his followers will accept it. They'll know it's 100% wrong, but they'll take it. Because it's all they know how to do anymore.
