Is the latest Atmosphere updates all fixes with battery drains or laggy and is it good to go ahead to update the latest firmwares to 20.5.0?
The problem with battery drains have nothing to do with Atmosphere, is the firmware needing your profile to connect to network in order to accept new EULA but that can lead you to a ban; so the only way is if you have a working OFW, upgrade that OFW and then using that NAND to create a new EmuNAND. or disable some services on atmosphère settings.ini to avoid the use of network on sleep mode.

Yep thats the one i was talking about :) do you need to add the whole lot to the end or just one section as i only added the [ns.notification] part to the end of my file and it seems ok.
I have no idea, sorry, I fixed my battery drain issue by recreating the EmuMMC from a 20.x OFW. Hopefully others can help you. But it's working already, then great :).

I thought there was a fix for the battery drain by adding some lines to the settings config or am i mistaken?

on this thread https://gbatemp.net/posts/10708649/ there is an explanation, for me on my Erista console the [ns.notification] lines where enough BUT that made my USB Ethernet Adapter stop working ;(

UPDATE: It turned out that my USB adapter have a faulty USB cable!!
was a coincidence what when I upgraded to 20.5.0 I moved the setup and the cable got a different position, and taking out and in the console to the dock moved the cable enough to work, I just Replaced the USB cable of the adapter and now the connection works always even with all lines added!

Sorry for the confusion.

Seems the other lines are needed for OLED consoles.

Thank you....much appriciated. I never use my oled in the dock or with ethernet but your right when i tested it didnt work I added the remaining lines and its working...

Thanks again

does it apply even if the console was wiped completely (delete everything in user partition, delete saves folders on system partition), and runs a clean start on fw 20 without ever connecting to nintendo servers? because that would be exceptionally bad design if so

I'll leave it off the dock with wifi on overnight to see

YES IT DOES, If you take your console to FW 20 YOU MUST to connect it to ninja servers to accept a new EULA, if you do not do that the console will keep trying to connect to ninja servers when in sleep depleting your battery and warming it.

It does, like @impeeza said, as for what you can do is use the lines from the github, to stop background services and notiification in sleep mode, so it doesn't drain from like 100% to like 15% in like 8 hours.

Hello Impeeza,

So it seems that there is another way to prevent battery drain -> instead of doing a full format, connect the Switch to Ninja Servers and accept the EULA stuff from first Nintendo Account connection attemp, right?

Do you know whether is there any tutorial to do so?

Thanks in adavance,

Best regards

Willsito

Don't do this at home, kids, unless you want to risk a ban.
