Online scoreboard/share scores online?
Online Leaderboards are already in the game. There are even separate leaderboards for each difficulty/cup. You can find it in the leaderboard option of the main menu.

It will be hard to spot what I have changed in 4.4 but the debugging options are nicer. So I was able to make things more efficient and the frame rate more consistent. #gamedev

I spent a bit of time in this update trying to fill in the little spaces. I am always surprised when I find things I can optimize, cheat or rearrange. Subscribe to my YouTube! #gamedev

Hi @newo

I did a quick test of v4.4 (starting with a fresh install) and the motion controls seem broken: no matter if using only the regular motion-control or with the wii-wheel option, tilting the remote do nothing at all. In fact, it does turn, but so much slowy that you have to come to a complete stop to notice it.

They were working perfectly in version 4.16

Go to menu options display and reset all. Then select motion controls again and see if that fixes it.

Unfortunately that didn't help. There is a big bug in the new version. The controls are going nuts. Even when driving straight forward, the ship goes left and right like crazy. I'm using the wii u gamepad

Yes it's running through the forwarder. I'm gonna try the classic controller later

Just tested it, classic controller and wiimote plus nunchuck also not working.

@Rick328 did you test it on wii or wii u?

let me know how it runs, I might have broken stuff

It might be hard to notice but I put a lot of work into the city scapes for this update;

As you can see in the video I really want to ensure that everything keeps moving smoothly all the time.

I have tested it and it's perfect. No bugs, smooth controls again. Magnificent.

Just some thoughts for other improvements:

Can you assign a camera change button? For instance pressing on dpad up or down jumps to the next camera.

Have you considered making a boost course like in f-zero? It could be by pressing a button to use nitro or driving over specific boost panels.

I'm missing the brake button. On the expert course there are 90 degree turns where it would be great to stop immediately and then accelerate again.

Thanks for your great game and effort.

Cool. Thanx for pointing it out. I was actually using an outdated version of the controller code.

I had it on a button at one point but removed it because players kept accidentally pressing it. There is a option in the pause menu which is the only way right now. Not sure if many are switch views often enough to put it on a dedicated button. It cannot be on the dpad.

I thought of a boost and a brake button but could decide on the best way to implement it. There are many boosting mechanics, life boost, collectible, boost pads, separate boost gauges - not sure which would fit the game as yet. And the limited buttons on the Wii mote is another concern. I will add it eventually when I can think up a way to make it fun.

Expert mode is difficult and annoying at times. But with practice it's bearable once you get the line down. Slow down but Never stop.

Thanx for the suggestions. Always appreciated. How are the 2 new cups?

Also remember to let me know how the new sectors/difficulties are. Blue ocean and metro
Today I found some time to test the new courses, before that I was kinda sucked into the world of Silksong 😂

First thing to notice: I like that the tracks are way longer than your first ones. It's like you tripled the duration of every single track.
Some of the decals were not pleasant for my eyes. The blue arrows on the middle of the road in blue ocean are giving me strobe ptsd vibes. Especially when playing it in the dark on my wii u gamepad. So I turned them off, but then it was not that easy to follow the turns. Maybe in bright daylight it will be better.

I like it that you put more vehicles on to the tracks of metro city. This is giving the feeling to drive on a busy highway.
And this was giving me another idea: is it possible to put some racers into the game? Like other vehicles which can accelerate as well or bump into you from behind when you are too slow? I don't know if it's possible to put this on the level like "fast racing neo", but it would be great to race against the ghost data of your previous tries or of other people who completed the course?

But you really did a great job on the last courses and put your game on another level with that. Thanks for that
