Hello!
I recently revived my PS2 by buying a MX4SIO, but then I realized I had one of these "special" PS2s that doesn't work straightforward with Free MC Boot, these where you need to enter to the Memory Card in Browser and then go back again so it finally boots FMCB. So, I followed a few tutorials (in spanish), put some games in the MicroSD, tested the first game (Guitar Hero 5) and voilá, everything worked!
But then, I decided to test another game so I restarted the console, and when I used the method I just mentioned, nothing happened, the main PS2 boot menu is still the same as ever.
Since then my DVD with uLaunchELF is always on the PS2 and I use it to boot OPL through the Memory Card and load games in MX4SIO. With this I can at least confirm that even though Free MC Boot stopped working, Open PS2 Loader .ELF still work with no problem while being installed in the Memory Card.
I wonder if there is any fix for this or I missed a step when installing FMCB? Or am I destined to always use uLaunchELF in order to load OPL?
If it's any useful: my PS2 is a SCPH-90010 with 2.00 bios version, and it doesn't have a date code.
