My point is not that you can not feel happy about someone you dislike dying, but more so how you are freely allowed to post outright psychopathic messages about a sitting president, I feel like people would be banned pretty fast if there was a thread dedicated to wishing Biden was dead a few years back.

Trump has committed sexual assault on at least one confirmed occasion where a judge clarified the action falls under the definition of rape.

I think an unrepentant rapist dying is a great thing, personally. Being president or not is irrelevant here.

Because your "interesting premise" is that Trump is Hitler, no one finds this interesting except extremely radicalized people. Sure, celebrating the death of someone responsible for millions of deaths is probably understandable. I would say the smartphone/social media era has done a lot to dumb society down, but longer than the list of pros and cons for each era is the list of parallels. Hyperbole obviously (though I don't doubt some people here probably tried to make this argument unironically), the point still stands that Trump's death is not something you should be celebrating. I really disliked Biden and Obama but I would not celebrate if they died, I would not feel bad either (as you certainly wouldn't if Trump died). You can have a middle ground that most people can't reach because they've been extremely propagandized.

The only reason you think the 80s were amazing is because it was the prime of your life. I'm guessing you were born in the 70s, but your teens were in the 80s.

I was born in the early 80s, but I prefer the 90s. Better music, no more neon, better games. But most importantly I had more freedom to go where I wanted when I wanted.

Trump is not Hitler, I will not go to that point. But he is authoritarian, his rhetoric is racist, he gives platform to people like RFK JR who has some interesting opinions about autism and vaccines, and we have public record of him saying not only nasty things about woman but about his own daughters. He simply lacks any decorum in private or public

He has created a cult following that is very worrisome to say the least and his followers did things like almost actively hunt immigrants when ICE went overhead, and are usually the same people that find some sort of weird pleasure in doing so

This has far passed the realm of "the left vs the right" imo, he is simple quite something else, even if not in the same level as more dangerous characters

Thing is, you're trying to normalize Trump's behaviors and actions by comparing him to other presidents. He's not like other presidents though, he does not respect the constitution or federal/state law like they did. If you respect the office of president at all, then you'd realize that having Trump occupy it is the same as desecrating it.
