He said he was. He said, and wrote, that his whole movement was. But it was also anti-Communist, which is how Antifa got started (with the support of Stalin's USSR). Hitler also didn't hold back in his words or writing about how he felt about Jews and the need for Germany to have "Lebensraum." He definitely followed through on his words with action wrt: the Jews and the expansion of Germany for Lebensraum, so I tend to take him at his word on the socialism thing too. It's not like any sovereign government in modern times has ever been truly socialist. Even those which have claimed it were mixed at best, with varying degrees of autocracy and capitalism.

And look at how the original VW Beetle was promoted to the German people. Everyone was encouraged to buy reservation tickets to fund the project, like a Kickstarter. Seems like you're grasping at straws here. There was plenty of speculation about Biden after his last debate with Trump, and after his diagnosis was made public. The entire internet was speculating about Trump's health for several days because the man can never STFU, yet he fell completely silent for a while there. It's not "psychopathic" to discuss death as an inevitability, especially as it relates to old people who are also public figures.
