Hey guys, i just bought a mig and i'm having trouble making it work.
I did the update to 1.2.2 and then tried to add my games (all 5 files) but I'm always getting the error saying the switch could not read the card. My sd is also formatted on exFAT (already tried reformatting it).
The mig flash green for a little bit after putting it in, and before getting the error.
I don't know if it's important but I'm using a switch 1 v2, on an older firmware since I stopped updating it. The games I'm trying are doom 64 and 1 2 switch but none of them work.
Do you guys have any fix ?

yes, read the documentation, use ExFAT, and remove any McOs extra file if it is created.

Are these properly dumped games from a legit cartridge or some sort of converted NSP games? A picture of your folder setup might shed some light.

If someone interested, I've dumped the MIG internal firmware
This is pretty cool, do you have any more information on the three .bin files and how they can be used to program a blank MIG board? I may give this a try. Additionally, is there a video link to the presentation you gave on the topic?

Those are files for the ESP32 chip of the MIG board. remember the board have another chip a OFPGA

You can’t get blank boards

Or well I guess you technically did if you managed to get one from Unlock Switch 🤣

I have a few blank boards since I published the PCB files a few months back, and I'm interested to see if the firmware posted by the other user can make these boards into fully working flashcarts and dumpers. Below is my first post on the topic, I've since confirmed that the PCB designs for the dumper and flashcart work 100%.
Hi everyone,

I've successfully cloned the hardware of the Dumper, and the project is on my GitHub at https://github.com/sabogalc/MIG-Flash-PCBs. However, this is pretty useless without the factory firmware.

I took a look at the 8 pins off to the side of the board, and I read about programming ESP32-S2 chips via Espressif's documentation. Afterwards, I made a simple programmer board to see if I could dump the firmware.

When I plugged the programmer into my computer with my original Dumper chip, nothing happened no matter how many times I tried. In the documentation, I found something that said "However, enabling Secure Boot or flash encryption disables the USB-OTG USB stack in the ROM, disallowing updates via the serial emulation or DFU on that port.", so I thought it may be possible that MIG makes their firmware flash non-readable.

To test this, I tried using a board with a factory ESP32 on it, and my programmer board was able to get it to show up just fine with Espressif's serial flasher site.

At this point I think I'm done since I know I have at least successfully cloned the hardware, and I'm not sure what more can be done in the way of getting the firmware cloned as well. This would explain why UnlockSwitch has for months had hardware but no working software. I am still working on verifying that my Flashcart clone PCB is 100% accurate, but anything beyond hardware is above my expertise. I hope this data is useful to you guys as this thread has been pretty useful as I took on this project.

Wow I completly forgot about this, my B

I can message a few folks see if they know more. No promises but lemme see what I can learn

But I am 90% certain that this isn’t enough

(I’m sure someone will correct me if I am wrong)
