Roblox is certainly one of the most played videogames nowdays, more so by teens and minors that just want to go around with friends or people online and play random events. However, due to the nature of the game and the demographic it's aimed towards, it has become a target for predators online.

There has been many cases of adults harassing minors by using Roblox as the medium, and it was due to this, that one X user in particular by the name of Schlep took it upon himself to make it his livelihood to stop these awful people and behaviours from occurring on a children's game, and to thwart and stop their illegal activities by hunting down and catching predators on his own, all of this of course, with the police and proper authorities support, with Schlep managing to bring to justice, complete with arrests, 6 predators up to this day according to his X profile bio.

Due to Schlep's actions to hunt down predators, Roblox took notice, sending a Cease & Desist letter to Schlep, alongside banning all of his accounts, terminating them entirely on August 9th, 2025:

A Cease & Desists letter (C&D) is issued as a warning to a user, with the company usually demanding the user at hand to halt and stop all activities detailed in the letter. Failure to comply with the C&D letter can end up in the user receiving a lawsuit directly from the company.

Things After the C&D issue with Schlep was becoming more widespread, Roblox themselves released a statement through their social media accounts, explaining their decision to remove "vigilantes" from Roblox.

The statement goes into detail about how to report users that could be seen as dangerous or engaging in dubious activities, but that's far from the issue, as the explanation for banning "vigilantes", as Roblox deems them, is that they usually impersonate other people (sometimes even minors) in order to lead plausible predators in an engagement of sexually explicit conversations, which goes against Roblox's Terms of Service.

However, the issue escalated even further, with government officials now taking notice of the whole situation. A few hours ago, US Congressman Ro Khanna issued a video statement saying that Roblox is not doing enough to protect children from online creators in their game. Ro Khanna is creating a petition to push Roblox to do more for their minor userbase and protect people using their game, with the petition's goal set to 1 million signature to sign up to this Friday:

Schlep has been in contact with Congressman Ro Khanna, and Schlep, alongside user KreekCraft, have shared information and resources they have, with instances of failed policy's on Roblox end, according to KreekCraft.

The situation with Roblox and their issues with predators in their game is a growing issue day by day, and with the current state of affairs with Schlep and Ro Khanna, we can only hope that this will force Roblox to do more to properly address these illegal activities towards children happening within their own servers.

Yeah because people see these types of subjects they want to copy the style because they gather millions of views and end up not taking proper security measures. Video or not its so flooded people just see the drama and forget the main purpose of following up just move onto the next subject of drama. Just saying most don't handle it in smarter ways.

Every adult should be doing this from the start. I just don't see the point in idolizing these people when it should just be the logical thing to do. Again every situation is sensitive and different and why police should always be contacted first.

It's a multi-faceted issue because there are also countless examples of law enforcement not giving a fuck and enabling sex crimes/pedophilia. For the US in particular it goes all the way to the highest office of government, so of course people are going to cheer for individuals outside of that system when they take meaningful action.

Regardless the police still have to go through a due process. It can depend on the city and honor of said police force. Even if you make the complaint it's still documented. If they come across a repeat offender it will be easier for prosecution. Will admit some groups handle situations well others go in with a blind eye. So all reports of crime is good imo. Saves the parents from getting into shit by pulling the trigger themselves.

I think people are missing my point. People chase these types of subjects just for views. Even if the person has good intentions it's still dangerous. It doesn't matter how much security you bring with you. It just takes one sick twisted mind two seconds to pull out a pistol and end your life over it. Instead if you see this behavior and receive messages like this you should instantly contact local authorities.

I rarely see people get patted down for weapons when it comes to these busts. They just sit them down start talking for like an hour then get police involved when it should be police involved first. That's where it gets cringe and dangerous.

To catch a predator already had correct departments lined in the back watching the sting go down. That's how they got caught efficient. You don't just bring guys you know to these things and hope everything goes smooth. Some departments may even agree to let you do the interview but calling them after the fact is just plain ignorant.
