I was following a youtube tutorial by RetroBoy titled "How to mod and change region on New 3DS/New 2DS", and I made a mistake and have hit a wall because of it.
On the step at 5:19 in the video where he transfers image to CTRNAND, I made my mistake. When the transfer was completed, RetroBoy instructed me to select "no" when it asks if i want to relock the write permissions that were changed, and I accidentally hit "yes" instead.

What i decided to do was redo the step and select "no" this time, and followed the rest of the tutorial as if nothing ever happened. On the final step, he instructed me to delete a file in sysnand ctrnand/sysdata that ended in "17". On reboot, my screen showed me an error instead of a new console setup screen like in the video. The error read "An error has occurred: Unable to mount CTRNAND or load the CTRNAND FIRM Please use an external one. Press any button to shutdown.". So I restarted into the gm9 menu and did the step that I messed up again thinking "third time's the charm". I'm still getting the error.

Am I cooked from transferring image to CTRNAND 3 times? Or can anyone help me?

Happy to provide any images or info that would help in assisting me.

Following YouTube tutorials is never a good idea regarding 3DS.
Please stick to 3ds.hacks.guide
=====

Restore the NAND backup you must have created right before attempting CTRTransfer. That should repair the damage.

Good luck and have fun!

I followed the instructions on 3ds.hacks.guide, and was able to get past my old wall, and open homebrew launcher from download play, but my system did not change regions. The menu is still in Japanese

*Nevermind! I downloaded the wrong transfer image! Thanks for replying to me!
