Origins Plus Data

That's the problem; you need the (delisted) Android or Steam 2011 versions instead to avoid lag in weaker hardware.

Also the more mods you are using the more the game will lag, try to not use more that two or three mods on the N3ds at worst.

The thing is, it only happens in Collison Chaos Present, and after testing, Good Future. Every level after that is smooth and nice. I'm wondering how it only happens in those levels, and how I can fix this.

Is it just straight up impossible to use both Scripts and the Mobile RSDK?

When I use Scripts with the mobile RSDK, my 3ds crashes with "Processor: Arm11 (core 0)Exception type: data abortFault status: Translation - SectionCurrent process: SONICCD (00040000072f0300)"

Using the Sega Forever RSDK just results in nothing but a screen of corrupted graphics. (Though strangely I can actually exit)

Has anyone worked out a solution for B-button-to-pause mapping yet? I understand it's attached to the Android rsdk, but is there a workaround?

how do I change it so it doesnt say touch to start pls help(more like how do I remap a button on my new 2ds xl so it lets me press that for touch to start)

I have encountered an issue when using the IOS Data.rsdk. When the game starts, it only allows the Iphone touch controls to start the game at the main menu. Got past it through the Dev menu, but can't access the main menu through this unfortunately.

Is there any way to fix this?
did you ever fix it

I've been trying to get the new version to work for hours and every time it just loads me into a multicolored screen and I can't do anything from there....i'm using a new 3ds and the mobile data.rsdk and did exactly what the readme says so I have no clue what I'm doing wrong :( sucks because the old one worked perfectly fine for me

Maybe you are using the wrong data.rsdk do a google search for it and you'll find mine.

did you change your name at some point? I searched that and it just lead me back to this thread so it's either that or google just being shitty as usual
Do a search for "sonic cd data.rsdk" it's the topic called "Anybody got the rsdk data for sonic cd?" Scroll down the topic until you see my post.

I don't know which of the comments on that post are yours since none have your name attached so I tried every download link on it and all had the same result

im desperately trying to get Miracle Edition with amy and knuckles to work. at the moment, ive got as far as the game saying, when no mods are enabled,

"script parsing failed
opernand not found
game.titleMode
line number 53
error in Title/Sega.txt"

im not sure where to go from here. if i could use miracle edition without amy and knuckles, and add those two separately, i guess that would be fine, but id rather the former.

solved it on my own with some google searching

Hola buenos días tardes o noches lo instalé y todo pero no me abre

having played this more everything seems fine BUT when i close the game there's maybe a 10% chance or so that it'll crash my ds. I can't imagine that's good for the console so...is there any way to fix that

Hey - So I initially had an earlier version of this installed. Not sure which in particular, but it was before the FMVs were available to be put on. Just last night, I installed the most recent version. Happy to have the FMVs! (I should totally downgrade them so I can see them, but still!)

Now, I essentially wound up deleting my original files and just installing all new ones, so all of my original save data is gone. That's okay, though.

So I'm playing the game again. This is one of my most favourite 3DS homebrews. Sonic CD looks genuinely amazing on 3DS, especially with stereoscope. The game seems to run fine for the most part -- with two notable exceptions so far. The first, and the smaller issue of the two, is that during the special stages, the textures of the ground won't load unless they're immediately under Sonic or directly in front of him. This was not an issue when I had the earlier version of the game. Mind you, this one isn't a big deal. I can still play the special stages, and I suck at them anyways!

The second issue is worse. The game runs totally fine from Palmtree Panic to Collision Chaos, special stages aside, but Tidal Tempest doesn't show any graphics whatsoever unless the game is paused. The game is still running; you can hear the music, you can move Sonic around, etc. It's just that the screen is completely black. If you pause the game though, you can see Sonic and his surroundings, somehow. (I'll attach a picture.)

I've tried exiting and re-entering the level, I've closed the game itself and reloaded it, and I even shut the 3DS off and back on. One time it even crashed after a reset. And I even started a second file, played through the first two levels, and once again was met with a version of Tidal Tempest where somebody forgot to pay the power bills.

Again, this was never an issue before I installed the most recent version. I'm not sure if any levels passed Tidal Tempest would be similar; the only way I could complete the level is by pausing and unpausing constantly to see where Sonic is. I ain't doing that lol.

I was wondering if anybody might know what could be going on here, and if there's a simple way I could fix it. Thank you.

edit: Oh, I should clarify a bit; the screen isn't just black. If you move around, it rapidly switches from black, to red, to white. Maybe a little neon green and purple -- it's an epileptic nightmare!

edit №2: So, it would seem the problem with Tidal Tempest is isolated to just Tidal Tempest, and also that it's all versions of all acts of the stage, as either Sonic or Tails. I used the dev menu to use stage select, and I tried out all versions of TT aside from act 3, and then I tried out the present-version first acts of Quartz Quadrant, Wacky Workbench, and Stardust Speedway. I haven't yet tried out Metallic Madness, but I assume it works fine. If it doesn't, I'll edit this post again to say so.

Side question about the game itself: Is there a way to exit debug mode after using the dev menu? Like, can I select a stage and then turn off debug so I won't be tempted to cheat?

Update - or lack thereof, really - I never did fix this. I'm not particularly smart when it comes to this stuff, so instead of continuing to figure this out, I just didn't do anything. I can play the other levels fine, and I also have the Sega CD rom as an inject on my home screen. That said, I love this version so much, I'd much rather be playing it.

tl;dr: Tidal Tempest, and only Tidal Tempest, does not show up at all in any visible way, even though the game is still technically playable during this level. All levels before and after work as intended. Also, textures in special stages are all over the place.

Does anybody have any idea as to what's going on? Is it my data file? I want to fix this but I don't know how. (Also, can you change the game's settings? If I try to open the settings option in the main menu, it just doesn't do anything. I just want to use the original Spindash.)

See my quoted post for more explanation, if needed.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the HOME Menu splash screen is cool and all, but I think a new one should be created for the CIA version.

Just like with 3D Sonic 1 and 2, the logo from the title screen should be used. As for the splash sound, the sound that plays when you get a time stone, make a good future, or get an extra life as Tails should be the one, aka sound FM 73.

EDIT: While giving the new Sonic CD port a try, I noticed that the audio isn't very loud. How do I fix that? I know the 3DS's speakers in general aren't that loud.

EDIT 2: I fixed the audio issue. I just needed to set the values to 1.

hey, so I was just playing the CD port and I got to Tidal Tempest and the game just.. started freaking out. Like at first it was just on a black screen, but then I started moving and a crap ton of flashing colors started appearing onscreen, and when I pause it's normal but not when playing. This also only happens in TT in all acts. Basically, I have the same problem as UnfoundedRevengw. Could someone tell me what's going on here, and if there's a fix?

I was able to fix this by using the script decompilation linked in the readme's setup section.
Take the scripts folder and copy it to sdmc:/3DS/SonicCD/
Then open settings.ini and set TxtScripts to true.
Hopefully this fixes the issue for you.
