I bought a PS1 Classic and this dongle came with it so it was a pretty good deal overall as I'll be using my PS5 controller on the Switch 2 if I play TV mode.

Tested with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and no problems, I just had to get used to the fact that X is B, O is A, and so on.

Works here too with an other adapter which also worked for SW1. Does work witch Switch 2 too.

Btw, you can completely remap your Controller, even map the new C button, in Switch Menu ;)
Yep. I'll probably do that when I use an Xbox controller as I prefer the A button placement on the Xbox controllers than Nintendo controllers.

Good to know...
For now I just use my pro controller from switch 1 , it tooks a little time to connect on switch 2 the first time though...
And I also have a fake pro controller (but a good one, really troubling to handle), sadly it cannot be detected at all on switch 2 so I keep it for my old switch instead...
Shame cause the official controller could start the switch1 from distance when docked but not anymore with the switch 2 (?!) and there is no way I buy a "pro controller S2" just for that for example lol
Its no big deal but still...

A deliberate choice from Nintendo no doubt. Ofc they could make it so NS1 controllers could wake up the switch 2 aswell but why would they, how else would be force people to buy new controllers? Maybe when the joystick starts drifting again.

Yes there's even a how to on the Nintendo site
Surprised they didn't make one for the NS2, maybe we'll see when Smash for NS2 is announced.

I do hope they don't use the title "Smash for NS2" as they did that for the Wii U.

Heyy,
I'm considering buying one. Does anyone know if the analogue triggers of an XBOX Series X controller work on Cyberpunk? I hate driving with the digital ones of a Switch Pro controller :D

shyyt, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if those A holes at Nintendo banned people for this. If you even fart in the direction of Redmond?... Ban.

I asked Google's AI if 8Bitdo is licensed by Nintendo...

No, 8BitDo is not officially licensed by Nintendo. While their controllers are compatible with the Nintendo Switch, they achieve this functionality by utilizing the Switch's firmware and likely don't have a direct licensing agreement with Nintendo. This means Nintendo doesn't officially provide them with an API for compatibility. As a result, 8BitDo controllers may sometimes experience compatibility issues with system updates as they rely on reverse engineering the Switch's firmware.

I thought they were like Hori. Oh well, it's not piracy so I'll keep using.

I've got no wireless adapter: what's the best choice, to buy a 8bitdo wireless adapter?
You can buy via AliExpress and during different times of the year they have sales so it's a bit cheaper.

Bought that one then I just had to update it to be compatible with NS2.
