Good to hear CPS-3 runs fast

Are there any solutions for Gunlock (a.k.a. RayForce) on Mame 2003 plus core B? The framerate is low and unplayable. This is on RA-Frankenstein by the way.

I think it's one of the few saturn games that actually runs full speed on Seta GX, the new saturn emulator that just came out. I would try that port instead of the arcade version on MAME

Hey everyone, good news regarding the latest stable and nightly releases of RA! Bezel support has finally made its way to the Wii!!!

After testing the last few days and with crucial knowledge and help from @cheloruiz79, many cores now have Bezels made up and being used.

Everything isn't perfect, there are some bugs in the new releases, MAME 2000 core ATM requires you to make a Playlist to boot .zip files but it is the best 2000 core i have used to date, and supports Bezels now!!! You read right, Playlists are now a thing in Wii RA!:)

I have not added the new cores to Frankenstein yet, i want to test more, but an update will be in the next day or two.

Attached are Bezels i put together with instructions how to set them up, you may have to tinker with the settings a bit to your preference or what the core/emulator requires...Thanks @cheloruiz79

Also in the Read Me file are instructions how to set up Playlists through Wii. This was my first Rodeo with Playlists so i was learning on the fly. If i missed something or anything is unclear, please post, i'll do my best to help.

Hi RunningSnakes. Since I've been using Superrsonic's Hexaeco RA, I don't think I'm aware of a MAME2000 core in their repositories. I've seen a core called MAME078. Is it the same one? The MAME 2000 core is supposed to use MAME 0.37b5 ROMs. And judging by the name, the Hexaeco MAME078 core will use... MAME0.78. The same as MAME2003? Does that mean Hexaeco also has split cores, from "A" to "G" separately? Any news on this?

Yes the MAME 0.78 core plays MAME 2003 romset. It does work but Hexaeco has the split cores and they run well. There is no need to test the 0.78 core, it is far inferior to the split cores.

The MAME split cores are included in my SS-Hexaeco 2025 Complete Mod distribution as well as my SS-MAME Arcade standalone distribution. The links are on the OP.:)

RA-Frankenstein has been updated with 36 core updates / adds. This includes splitting GenesisPlusGX core into 5 dedicated cores for the Sega platforms...SG, MS, GG, MD, CD.

Also included are my new bezels that work for all cores with the exception of XRick, Wolfenstein, mGBA. For mGBA, i have made the 1.10.3 core dedicated to only GBA and added mGBA 1.21.0 which is dedicated to GB/GBC and supports bezels.

I tested thoroughly but issues could surface, please post if you experience any.:)

I have come across many arcade games that use 356x448 so i made Mid 2 overlays/bezels for those. Here is a look at what dimensions you have to choose from now...

Just drop the attached folder into...
dev:/apps/ra-arcade/overlays folder.

Friend, I never use overlays because I play on a CRT TV, even vertical games by tilting the TV. But I recognize your effort and dedication. Thanks.

Yes, all the audio samples are working with RA-MAME 2003+, they also work in HEXAECO.

MAME 2000 audio samples all work as well.

FBA audio samples do not work but i don't believe it is a Wii issue.

MAME 2000 and MAME 2003+ samples are different, you need the correct set for each.:)

thank you a lot, it worked like a charm. Now i can play the original Donkey Kong without missing sound effects (SFXs).

Is there a global settings option for all the cores? Do I configure all of the cores individually? I ask because changing the video settings for retroarch gets tedious.
Thanks.

Thanks.

RetroArch Frankenstein saves Cores configurations individually including main RA settings, but that one was heavily modified to accomplish such task.

Convert from text to spread sheet for RA-MAME 2003 Plus.

I need help with the file name, if everyone could support it would be a great resource for us. :)
Very nice!

I have made text compatibility lists for all Wii Arcade cores/emulators also. Converting those to spread sheets would be awesome too!!!

I can start filling in the game.zip names and post my progress here. Thank you for this my friend.:)

RetroArch arcade bezel project is finished (at least for the foreseeable future) with Toaplan and Neo Geo / CD bezels completed. At some point I will probably go back and add more MAME/FBA art but I must take a break.

Around 25 Toaplan and 155 Neo bezels have been included to the complete set. This includes all Universal console and computer bezels along with Arcade games.

The MAME 2003+ standalone release has been updated with all current art as well as the Neo Geo and Neo Geo CD standalone releases.

After a short break I can continue my custom Sega Master System cover art set which has been on pause for nearly 3 months while working on different projects. If you are a WFL plugin user, be sure to keep an eye out for this upcoming release, it should be very nice. Hope you all enjoy the Arcade bezels, here are a few if you want to take a look...:)
